Good question: merch, collaborations with gacha franchises and Black Lagoon gacha. I am not joking or exaggerating. He has done collaboration (and drawn art for) rape-focused H games and there's a BL gacha (insane as it may sounds).

Japs are experts in skinning the nerds.
I'm amazed they didn't put Black Lagoon into something like CoD or Fortnite.

Every day I am grateful that no one highly famous in the entertainment world has asked to do a live action movie for Black Lagoon. They would ruin Revy’s character the same way Netflix ruined Cowboy Bebop.
I don't think it's popularity, I think it's just would be hard to make budget wise. Black Lagoon does need to be filmed in various locations and not skip on action set pieces (car chases, explosions crazy fight scenes), so that would be hard to pull off. It's the same reason, why I think that Hellsing series from Amazon never gonna happen, because...C'mon, you need a whole scene of Nazi blimps bombing the shit out of London and Nazi troops going bananas there. Heck, the massacre in the Rio hotel and the whole fight there would prob be a need to bust open ones piggybank.

Cringe question: Anybody read BL fanfics?
Besides your typical fanfic slop, there's a few decent ones exploring the characters.

You'd need one hell of a director to even adapt the action in the show, good luck trying to emulate Revy springing across boats or Fabiola dodging bullets with capoeira.

Honestly, I think Robert Rodriguez in his younger days could have pulled it off, 2nd choice would be the guys behind The Raid movie, third would be guyz who did John Wick.

It's nice to see the Lovelaces and Roberta getting involved again these past 2 chapters and I'm sure we're going to see some more action, since Hiroe was moaning about all the AKs he was drawing. On that note, somebody mentioned that his artstyle is cleaner now. There are a few good ones, but with his transition to digital, everything has noticeably softened and most scenes are just kinda meh.
