Absolutely. Better protection than a three wolf moon shirt.
Edit: I hate to double post so I'll ask in an edit. Couple things.
1. Does the trilogy version of ME include DLC? I have none of it as I don't have an Xbox Live connection.
2. Any good squad members in the DLC? I know there are several, particularly for ME3, but are any worth using?

I used to absolutely love the Mass Effect games. In fact, in some ways, I still do. The games had a massive and interesting universe with a shit ton of lore and different alien species'. The characters were also for the most part very well written and likable. Garrus, Tali, Mordin, Wrex, ect. I found myself getting really attached to them and wanted to see them all through to the end of the trilogy.
Of course, we all know what happened at the end of 3.
Heck, the ending wasn't even 3's only problem. The fact that the ending is affected by how often and frequently you play the multiplayer kinda bugged me. (Even though I did have fun with it) and of course, having Day 1 DLC that has a PROTHEAN squad mate also bugged me.
From what I've read, the extended cut fixed some of the issues with the ending, but at that point, I just stopped caring.
I haven't played any of Bioware's other games, but from what I've seen, KOTOR and Dragon Age: Origins are supposedly really good.
EDIT: Oh right, and for some reason they made Jacob a real scum bag in 3.
I met him in 3 as a Male Shepard and found that he was going to have a baby with that one woman he met on the planet I found him on. At the time I thought, "Aww, that's sweet. I guess that's what happens when you don't romance him."
Then I did some research and found out he knocks that woman up even if you were in a relationship with him. What the fuck Bioware? I know he's not a very popular character but goddamn. Way to alienate part of your fanbase.
I'm not too disappointed because I always make humans anyway but its an odd choice for them to make. I imagine there will be multiplayer that lets you take any race. I'm more curious when the game takes place.
While the prospect of playing a dwarven chick / qunari mage is enticing, I haven't gotten over how much I wanted my money back after Dragon Age 2. Anyone planning to buy it at launch?

Seriously? The protagonist is another human soldier?
I used to love Mass Effect, but I have no interest in 4. It's going to be on the horrible next-gen consoles and Origin, neither of which I want, and it's helmed by the idiots who brought us the end of Mass Effect 3. Buying something from them is like buying a Metroid game from Yoshio Sakamoto.
Really disappointed in the news about Mass Effect 4 though. I want to play as a Quarian dammit! And in a politically different galaxy! What were the effects of curing the genophage? Sparing the rachni? Stopping the Geth-Quarian war? Picking a colour?
Hey man at least you get your Quarian characters in multiplayer where is the Hanar and the Elcor. I was going to say Volus but then I learned that they are playable which is awesome.
