Read the article. They've also lost one of their longest serving and most prolific employees, and ME:A's previous development lead in a span of about 2 and half months.
I already knew about Gaider. Didn't know about that other guy though, don't know who he is either.
 
IMO, the last 'good' Bioware game was Dragon Age Origins, and their best was NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer.

On another tangent, I've noticed that Bioware games tend to get a pretty cringy/zealous fandom built up around them, especially in the case of Dragon Age and Mass Effect. They always push themselves to be very 'progressive' in their games, which I think is part of it, and of course there's a trend of having a fully/semi-customizable self-insert main character for nerds to latch onto. Anyone else notice this?

While Mass Effect was understandably progressive because space.
Dragon Age has always been kinda weird with how progressive it is. With characters like Zevran, sexuality and such was talked about in a natural manner with the player being able to express his views on Zevran's bisexuality. I didn't feel pushed to lean one way or another and it was nice. Dragon Age 2 had all romances be bisexual which I think was for pandering reasons rather than any sort of agenda.

Inquisition has characters like Krem and Dorian and I don't think they were handled well entirely. Dorian was fine up until his personal quest which put you in the place of an awkward bystander in what seems to be some sort of odd self-insertish story from Gaider that broke my immersion. From what I remember, the game expects you to be on Dorian's side and just witness or encourage the spectacle. It kind of takes away from the RPG experience. The same with Krem and hanging out with the other mercs.
Now I'm not entirely sure whether these examples are Bioware pushing some sort of agenda or Bioware just being bad at creating a decent RPG that actually involves character building. I'm leaning more on the latter honestly because the entirety of Inquisition felt like you were just supposed to witness events and then occasionally provide your input. The Inquisitor is the biggest blank slate in any Bioware game I've played and it sucks because I didn't feel like I was really defining my Inquisitor along the way. But that's a rant for another time.

In short, Bioware sucks at RPGs.

Mask of the Betrayer like NWN2 was developed by Obsidian. After Knights of the Old Republic Bioware hasn't touched anything with d20 in it.

Well, scratch another game off the 'good' list, haha. I completely forgot it was an Obsidian game.
