A lot of "privileged" upper middle class people like him don't understand what inpatient psychiatric facilities are like. You don't take a relaxing grippy sock vacation in there, on top of being tedious you're put in there with schizos and other assorted real crazies. I feel like there's a lot he left out, you don't go to the loony bin just because you get the sads. Maybe he was suicidal and really did think he was going to do a flip but again, there's a reason people don't tell professionals they're suicidal, and that's to avoid the psych ward.
I long have had the feeling that he wasn't being fully honest with his psych ward story. It is possible he never even went to the psycho ward or was raped at all. I never viewed him as an overtly dishonest figure or that he has even given any solid evidence that he is one, but like with a lot of YouTubers I have learned you can never be too sure of who they exactly are or what is really going on when the camera is off.

He seems like he has enough social awareness that making up "getting raped in the loony bin" should result in mockery and not sympathy/Patreonbux. Long term it would be a disastrous thing to admit, especially if it wasn't true and no one would question it.

People laughed at Ralph for admitting he got beat up in Portugal but sooner or later the bruises, his fucked-up eye, and his missing manpurse would be questioned and the conclusions might be even more unsavory than the theories we currently have.

Looking at the video, I immediately knew the guy wouldn't be able to resist using a kitchen tool worth 10 times the cost of the "cheap cut" he used, and I wasn't wrong with him dunking it into a Sous Vide.

Channel in general turned back to somewhat cooking related but the videos are obnoxiously long and filled with gay editing. The "cheap" video is still notable that he missed the whole point of the subgenre that the cheap ingredients need to be made by basic kitchenware.

Joshua Weissman-type slop.

Binging with Babish became everything wrong with modern YouTube. He basically turned his whole channel into a business and let his "employees," like Alvin, hijack the channel. I'm not even aware if Babish himself still makes videos because I tuned out after he renamed his channel to the "Babish Culinary Universe." He had his algorithm-optimized niche of making food from TV shows, much like Legal Eagle made his channel from reacting to TV shows "as a lawyer," but ultimately his channel has become boring slop made by his employees. I see no reason to stay subbed to Babish anymore.

Was really disappointed to see Babish in my subscriptions because of doing a collab with Fallow, they're millions of miles above him in quality

I'm an Alvin defender because at least Alvin did the same gimmick that the channel was based on in the first place — making dishes from pop culture stuff.

The Being with Banish and Sohla part of the channel was when it started going off the rails and he went off a cliff with the ranking shit.

Even if Banish went back to his regular weekly dish from TV show thing I have Fallow and Alton Brown putting our cooking content now. I'm good.

Here's the vid in case someone dare watch.
