This Bill Thomas Cheetah coupe replica is built using a fiberglass body and tubular steel chassis fabricated by Cheetah Evolution of Grafton, Ohio. It was purchased by the seller as a project in 2024 and completed later that year. The car is finished in orange and powered by a 370ci GM V8 paired with a Richmond Super T-10 four-speed manual transmission and a Corvette-sourced differential. Features include a Holley Demon four-barrel carburetor, a Dart aluminum intake manifold, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, independent suspension with adjustable coilovers, unassisted rack-and-pinion steering, staggered-diameter American Racing five-spoke wheels, side exhaust pipes, and gullwing doors. Inside, equipment includes a roll bar, a fire suppression system, a tilt steering column, and Kirkey bucket seats trimmed in tan leather. This Cheetah replica is now offered with build records and photographs, and a North Carolina Specially Constructed title that lists the car as a 1963 Chee Replica.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in orange and features an air cleaner cut-out on the quick-release clamshell hood. Additional equipment includes gullwing doors, a pair of C2 Corvette-style taillights, LED reverse lights, a billet racing-style fuel filler cap, and an electrical cutoff switch mounted on the rear valance. The custom headers and side-exit exhaust system were Ceracoated to match the air cleaner and wheel spokes.
The 17” American Racing Special Edition wheels are mounted with 275/40 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires up front and 305/45 Nitto NT555 RII out back. The car features a double-wishbone front suspension with adjustable coilovers, chromed and polished suspension links, and a cantilever rear setup. The car is equipped with unassisted rack-and-pinion steering, and stopping power is provided by Wilwood brakes with red-painted calipers, slotted and cross-drilled discs, and a triple master cylinder setup.
The cockpit houses two Kirkey high-back bucket seats trimmed in tan upholstery with Cheetah embroidery on the headrests. A Safety Solutions harness is fitted for the driver, and additional equipment includes a roll cage, a FireCharger fire suppression system, Wilwood pedals, carbon-fiber-look dash and center console trim, and a JOES Racing rear-view mirror.
The four-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a billet tilt steering column, and it fronts AutoMeter gauges including a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for oil temperature, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 41 miles.
The 370ci V8 features four-bolt splayed mains, and it was smoothed under the seller’s ownership before it was repainted orange. Induction comes from a Holley Demon four-barrel carburetor and a Dart aluminum intake manifold, and additional equipment includes:
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Richmond Super T-10 four-speed manual transmission paired with a McLeod Racing clutch in a shatterproof bellhousing and a Corvette-sourced differential. A fuel cell is mounted behind the seats, and it features high-pressure AN fittings as well as braided lines.
Photos taken during the seller’s completion of the build can be seen in the gallery along with a collection of included records.
