Actor Bill Paxton has died at 61 due to complications from surgery on Saturday.

"It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery," Paxton's family said in a statement to TMZ Sunday.

Paxton starred in popular movies like "Titanic," "Apollo 13," "Aliens," "Predator 2," "Weird Science" and "Twister."

"A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker," the statement added. "Bill's passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father."

Born and raised in Dallas, Paxton kicked off his acting carer by playing an uncredited role in 1975 film "Crazy Mama" at 20-years-old.

He was the only actor to die onscreen to a Terminator, Alien, and Predator during the course of his film career. Now he can add dying offscreen to that list :(

While I'm probably the ONLY guy who thinks this, I will miss him the most for having left us with this legend in his portfolio....

Lance Henriksen also did all but the last of those.

In the movies I have seen with him in, I thought he always seemed pretty wooden and had no range.

But, he was cool in "Weird Science", and it's kinda sad that he died not that old.
