As of this post it's peaceful so far since both sides are separated for the most part. The park is a maze of barricades though and numbers for the rally itself are weak due to it being officially cancelled and the threat of antifa and other 'lovely' people in Berkeley.

It's probably going to turn to shit when antifa & friends march to where the ralliers are at.

Yep.

We also have anti-fascist protests all over America, despite the word 'fascist' being a universal pejorative that no one really ascribes to. Basically, the modern political landscape exists as two angry extremes yowling past each other about a dangerous boogerman with little to no actual influence. Basically, the Right hates the Left because a minority of people on the Left are total assholes, and vice versa.

Basically, we all hate each other for the stupidest reasons, and it's really sad to see.

EDIT: Say 'basically' again, you redundant ass.

Well, if you're going to find them and rumble with them, Berkeley is probably the place you'd go. Antifa really does have a substantial number of Marxists, although quite often they're weirder splinter commie types like ancoms and anarcho-syndicalists and even shit like National Bolsheviks or even outright Stalinists/tankies.

Most people who would actually call themselves Marxists at this point are senior citizens.

I hope everyone dies.

I've joked that Nazis and SJW Antifags alike deserve indiscriminate carpet bombing, but the joking part is barely there at this point.

But if any university deserves to get trashed in an event like this it's Berkeley.

Telling the cops to stand down while people riot and burn the place down is basically an invitation to the entire world of thugs and commies and Nazis to use it as their personal toilet whenever they want to rumble.

They begged for this.

The mayor of Berkeley is sympathetic to BAMN/Antifa. I noticed at the start of the rally/riot, the police were insanely outnumbered. In some instances it was like 2 cops surrounded by 20-30 antifa and blm people. Eventually the cops donned masks, shot off some teargas and pulled back to let Antifa rule the streets. I don't know if it was a stand down order from the mayor or if the cops had to pull back out of necessity due to not deploying enough cops. Eventually towards the tail end of the riots they showed back up and cleaned up stragglers.

Either way it's obvious the cops were restrained badly from the beginning, probably to force them to retreat without a stand down order being called by the mayor. The mayor issuing a stand down that was traced back to him got him in some shit the last time riots happened in Berkeley.

I can somewhat understand a politician that wants to support "progressive" politics, but I can't understand the reasoning going to give support to ANTIFA and BAMN(a violent organization of commies that was supported by the kid diddling NAMBLA). Perhaps we should say that he supports NAMBLA to get the fire under his ass?

And it couldn't possibly happen to a more deserving place.

I'd understand an anti-antifa protest or even a anti-communism one, but 'marxism' is oddly specific. How many antifas have ever read Marx's manifesto?
I'd say it's the other way around. Marxism covers a lot of political nominations, at least in root source.

But knowing these kids and their status with statues, I don't think they give a damn about history.
