I heard recently about an incident at Beiber's 18th birthday party. He was having the party at some nightclub in England; said nightclub has a strict 18 or older policy due to the alcohol served there. Around 15 or 16 of the people on Beiber's invitation list were 14 to 16. Since they were under aged they weren't allowed inside. Upon hearing this, Beiber threw the biggest tween bitchfit. He believed that he was above the law. Soon after he cancelled the party and demanded that the nightclub be shut down.

I know he was turned away from a nightclub in Manchester called Sankey's recently because 'his dancing was bad'. Now I have been to Sankey's and to get chucked out for that (or indeed at all) really says something about how well regarded you are!

As for one direction, I actually know little to nothing about them or their fanbase. I think it's best if I keep it that way.

In general, pop-stars will be pop-stars. I'm sure that when Bieber breaks down/eventually falls into obscurity like 90% of pop-stars do at some point, I'm sure there'll be someone new that's just as bad/worse to replace him. Same goes for One Direction.
