Bear visits front office at Colorado condo complex

A front desk worker at a Colorado condo complex captured video when a bear wandered into the office through an open back door.

Kailee Duryea said the back door had been left open to let the warm breeze inside at The Lodge at Steamboat condo complex in Steamboat Springs and there were some cookies left out on the lobby's coffee tables.

The cookies apparently caught the attention of a bear that wandered in through the open door.

Duryea called maintenance and filmed video of the bear as she talked on the phone.

The footage shows Duryea yell at the bear to leave, driving the animal toward the closed front door before it reversed direction and strolled past the desk worker to the open back door.

Duryea said the bear did not act aggressively and did not leave behind much of a mess, aside from some cookie crumbs.

Bears are a common sight in Steamboat Springs, and are occasionally found where they are not welcome. A resident of Bear Claw Condominiums in Steamboat Springs snapped a photo in October when a bear was seen strutting through a common room.

Steamboat Springs Police Cmdr. Annette Dopplick said the bear was first spotted on the second floor of the building and was also seen in an elevator and possibly a locker room before leaving on its own through a double door.

Bears are basically just big dogs that can eat an omnivorous diet. Cookies, and a warm comfy place to rest? Of course it'd show up.

Don't you have to like kill him now because they'll constantly come back no matter where they get relocated to?

Not unless it directly interacts with humans and it's hostile.

PL-ish: There are multiple large carnivores and dangerous animals that meander through my neighborhood at times. They get called in, animal control tranqs it and since most of these animals have identification numbers or tags, they get returned to where they've been documented to live and monitored from a distance until they wake up and get going.

Happens a lot during migration seasons when ballsy predators decide to chase deer, moose or elk that are moving from one place to another. They tell people to carry mace if they're going off the beaten path for hiking or dog walking.

People with dogs are almost always targeted though. They really hate dogs and it isn't just a bear thing.

He needs to file a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Division over their discriminatory practices. Fair Housing Act states that there can be no discrimination in housing. The leasing agent didn't even offer to show him a model or talk about the different layouts, despite being there long enough to eat a plate of cookies. He didn't raise a ruckus over this, but she still started yelling at him to leave. Fucking whypipo.

Would fail in court, as he is a bear and not a chimpanzee

So what's the fucking problem here?
It is well known that Lord Ye had a particular love for dragons. Ye's house was "covered" in dragons - designs, paintings, carvings - whether on his weapons, bed linen, chairs or walls.
On hearing about Ye's passion for dragons, a celestial dragon was so moved that it decided to honor Ye by paying him a visit. So, it descended to earth and stuck its head into Ye's bedroom window, while the other half of its body swayed in the hall.
The scene that accompanied the dragon's descent to earth was magnificent: dark clouds rolled across the sky, lightning flashed and thunder boomed. The earth shook and a heavy downpour almost devastated the city.
Ye, the dragon lover, was far from flattered. On the contrary, he was so frightened by the dragon's visit that he took to his heels and ran away as fast as he could.
What Lord Ye loved was not the real dragon, but something that merely looked like a dragon.

Thankfully not, unless they become desensitised to humans or become reliant on them or aggressive you can deal with them in other ways.

The Danger I can see here is that this is a Cub and the mother isn't likely far away and Mother Bears have a nasty reputation for a reason if they don't like you near there cubs (and that;s the case 99.9% of the time) they will try and scare you off and if that doesnt work they can attack.
