I see that secure boot shit is still a thing, I wonder if that will affect week one reception much, at least on PC. Then again Wilds was borderline unplayable on PC yet outsold both consoles so something similar might happen for BF6. I noticed a lot of the complaints about that has died not long afterwards so I assume most of the people who complained about it (such as myself) moved on to other pastures, or just gave up and did it anyway.
Either way, might be an influx on PC bricking once the game drops, will keep an eye out.

The timing of this being close to Windows 10's EOS, since most users will probably not either pirate either the ESUs or switch to Windows 10 IoT LTSC, and will instead either upgrade to 11 or get a new computer with Secure Boot, could lower the amount of bricked computer reports?

I've heard rumors that vehicles have in-game radios with licensed songs that you can blast while driving (like Battlefield Vietnam, Hardline, etc.), anyone know if it's true?
Pretty sure at least one Limp Bizkit song is confirmed for the radio. IDK how much more there are.

Most people have it enabled, the ones that don't(myself included) aren't playing multiplayer games as much anymore. It's been two months since I booted up BFV and longer still since I played 2042 before they enabled secure boot.
My disagreement with ring 0 anticheat can be summarized by outdated versions of BattleEye causing computers to shut down, so if I ever get back into leaderboard simulators I'd rather have the game tell me it's compromised before the stability of my PC is at the mercy of pajeet coders.

Thanks
I just bought the game.

Here's hoping it can run as efficiently as Battlebit Remastered
My RX 6600 struggled with the game at 1080p in smaller maps. On low it was very playable though. I don't think you will be playing at 1080p with a mobile gpu.

For what it's worth my 6+ year old laptop with a 2070 and i7 ran the beta fine at close to minimum settings (50-60 fps iirc). The game still looked pretty good at those settings. Im waiting a week or two minimum to see if/how they screwed the release version up.

If I already played the BF6 beta, do I have secure boot on?
yes, you do as that was required to run the beta.

I also just realized the first few days after launch are going to be kino as everybody is going to be running around in nothing but the white male gravedigger skin.

I played the open beta the other night. Obviously it's still a WIP but it needs a LOT of work. Was really janky, half the text in-game was in Polish or something, you couldn't go prone and aim properly and there were a lot of other little bugs. I say this as someone who loved Red Orchestra & Rising Storm 2.

I'll give 83 the Ready or not treatment if I have to, buy it at early access launch to be supportive, maybe buy a cosmetic pack or 2 then return at full launch to their fully realized stable version they intended it to be.

According to Hardware Unboxed, the game is "very well optimized", but recommends avoiding the Overkill and Ultra presets unless you have the latest gear (GPUs with at least 12 GB of VRAM with a little bit of upscaling) The overall presentation is very similar while using Overkill and High presets, so players will probably back down to the High preset.

Unlike MH Wilds BF4 actually looks optomized, and felt optomized in the beta so.
I read the performance requirements aren't as bad as other games that look far worse than it so at least there's that. Also it's "optimized," replace the o next to the t with an i.

Aye, same boat there. I play maybe 1 for every 10 or so games, and only for about an hour. Unless it's Titanfall.

Kek. Honestly I'm surprised they had the balls to go "yeah just do this technical shit that the average normie on PC (most PC users I'd wager) in order to play our game, no we're not going to tell you what might happen if you do something wrong." All those issues, bricked pcs, all the hoops you had to jump through and the potential lost sales just to combat cheaters and they still got cheaters day 1 into the open beta? Lol, lmao even. And this might be the standard going forward? Good thing I don't play most modern multiplayer games, can't wait for someone to find a bypass or spoofer for secure booting which will render all this shit moot.
Yeah they were banned quickly but do you really need secure boot and that invasive anti-cheat rather than competent admins and moderators who actually read reports? I feel this will end up with some crazy shit happening after the launch of the game similar to what happened to Apex Legends, but who knows. Also rip Windows 10 users, many people will not "upgrade" to an even more bloatware filled, performance compromised OS just to play a game.

Makes me imagine this scenario

“Uhm sir, we’ve been receiving a worrying amount of angry messages from our customers in the global south about how they bricked their PCs trying to enable secure boot, are you sure this is really a worthwhile step to prevent cheating?”
“…Cheating?”

Anyways I hope this game is good, and rapes the next COD in sales, just so that it inspires the dropping of movement tech autism from all mainstream FPS moving forward, causing a mass suicide of movement fags (starting with Enders, of course).

I said it before but the BF6 Portal has the potential to be a shit ton of fun and have a lot of longevity.
