Neat. This is about what I expected. I played a bit more last night and Brooklyn gives me the same feeling as Cairo and that other mostly grey piece of shit map. Too much CoD tier close quarters and not enough battlefield. It's sorta fun in breakthrough I guess. The last zone gets seriously hectic and it was admittedly kinda kino.

It feels like there are 3 viable weapons
<-(Butthurt)
The Ar's, shotgun, and "snipers". I'm totally not seething after seeing 4 matches with the shotgun doods at 50+ kills <10 deaths
Didn't see many shotguns last weekend, but this go around they seem much more prevalent. Thankfully they've said they're going to tune them a bit before launch.
COD is currently imploding, it would be stupid to ignore potentially gaining such a large playerbase. Plus, to the untrained eye, BF6 footage looks just like MW2019, especially on those smaller maps.
Cod is imploding because Activision are lazy greedy cunts that want as much blood squeezed from that stone as humanly possible. Players bitching about cod are cattle that will still buy the game next year to keep bitching. Chasing that crowd for BF is a doomed effort, they will literally jump ship the instant cod promises to be "better".

People bitching about COD are like scorn women, they are never going back to COD unless it's literally their job(ie youtubers) and even then they are largely choosing to take a loss and play something else. This isn't new, when Vanguard came out most of Zombie tubers straight up quit and moved on to other games, frankly I dunno if there are any left by this point since I wasn't interested enough to check. Whoever played BO6 zombies came out disappointed since this year was a shitshow too.

On the other hand, the only ones still playing the game are retards who are too stupid to know any better or they genuinely enjoy this new direction of fortnite cartoon skins and tiny moshpit maps. XDefiant has proven that there is a large, and I mean massive contingent of former fans who are looking for a serious alternative, XDefiant only failed because it was published by Ubisoft and if any other company was responsible for it, it would still be kicking. BF6 is a much safer bet since it is published by EA and Battlefield is a long running franchise, while it is inevitable that servers will go down one day, it won't happen within a year or two, you are guaranteed at least 5-8 years of server uptime without any worry. This kind of serious investment in a half-decent shooter is exactly what the refugees are looking for, so yes not only is a large portion of the fanbase this time around going to be COD fans but I bet that EA/DICE will also be actively making content to appeal to them(smaller maps or more hectic boots on ground game modes, for example).

Funny about this FaZe guy’s strategy about seeing a tank and flanking around it for kills, he’s definitely NOT the target demographic for Battlefield.

True story, I’m playing Rush (or actually, King of the Hill) on this gray like mountain village (I cannot remember the map name) as a Recon. I see a tank rush up towards my team spawn. As a CoD player, what and how did you expect I handled it?

I think it's really funny that this barely literate nigger was defending the cheating tranny just so he could talk shit about battlefield players.
And yea, he outs himself talking about how he only plays the game to farm clips while intentionally playing the game extremely selfishly. Hopefully he keeps being shit on for playing the game wrong and being dumb as fuck. Once again proving that the people complaining about gatekeeping tend to be the ones that should be gatekept in the first place.

I’m watching that guy’s raw video on Battlefield 6. Already, this guy pisses me off. Playing Battlefield for kills, rather CLIPS, people like him are the reason why Call of Duty and gaming has turned into virtual shopping malls catering to the lowest denominator.

Empire State is somewhat good, that's a very big somewhat. I'm level 16 1/2 and yeah, I have definitely see certain weapons being lazer guns with no spread or recoil. (AK-205, MP7)

The Benelli M4 and DP-12 were leaked to be in the game eventually, I wonder how they're going to balance those shotguns. Matchmaking search times seem to be longer for me but I've been playing nothing but conquest.

Probably less damage with higher rate of fire. 2042 had that auto-shotgun that powderised with flechette ammo.

I hope they don't nerf the shotgun too hard, maybe a range drop-off in damage or something.

The rush mode in the bf6 doesn't feel really thought out and heavily skewed in favor of the defenders side. Like it really feels like a lot of these attack and defend game modes screw attackers heavily. like that open air desert map only giving attackers one tank in open land. I've done good on that map, but that's only after getting the rest of my team to finally use smokes and smoke the shit out of the first point so snipers couldn't pick us off.

I have mostly positive feelings with playing the game so far, but I really do wish for bigger maps and more support for attackers with extra vehicles or avenues on some maps that aren't just one lane open field with no strategy.
Someone probably already said, and maybe I'm just old as fuck but I remember rush in BC2 having the objectives set further back from the attacking teams spawn, like you had to progress a decent distance to make it to where you plant the bombs, having played a round yesterday BF6 feels like your spawn is right next to the objects, feels far to condensed, everyone just running straight at the points no room for maneuvering.

You're remembering correctly, for the most part. Rush used to be a 32v32 mode with full sized maps, similar to how breakthrough works now, though breakthrough is 20v20. Rush is now a 12v12 ADHD simulator and it's a horrible change. They seem to want breakthrough to replace rush. So far all 4 maps in the game are not fun to play breakthrough on so I don't have high hopes for any other rush maps on full release.

Thought it felt off. Don't know why the change when breakthrough feels just like a tweaked (for its detriment) version of the original rush. So far, the maps are just unmemorable to me, like they just kind of blur together. No map so far has anything I would consider a sticking point, or set piece that makes would make them unique, and because of the condensed nature of their sizes it can be too hectic to even get your bearings most of the time.

Maps to me are the biggest problem so far, the portal mode has potential with its more forge like nature and server browser, provided they keep updating it with maps (particularly classic and well liked maps from previous entries) but I feel like they are going to struggle to monetize this game in a way that would make the executives happy, and they will probably just trickle out content for a bit and then move past it like all previous BF games.

Turning off Cross play has been a godsend for the 2nd weekend the sweatiness of the lobby’s went down from a full 10 to maybe a 5.5
Send help, can't find option to turn off crossplay even though I looked for it on brave search . am retarded nigger.

Edit: LOL, you have to disable it in the EA app, not in-game. Sick.

Edit 2:
Battlefield 6 does not have a built-in option for PC players to disable crossplay within the game's settings. The crossplay setting is only available for console players (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), allowing them to turn it off to only match with other console players. PC players cannot change this setting through the standard in-game menu.

While some community forums suggest modifying game files (such as the PROFSAVE file in the docucents folder) to disable crossplay on PC , this method is not officially supported by EA and may not be reliable or consistent across all platforms and updates. The official stance is that crossplay is enabled by default for PC players, and there is no official way to opt out through the game's interface.

The game uses a "console-preferred crossplay" system, meaning that console players are matched with other console players first before being matched with PC players. This system is designed to prioritize same-platform matchmaking for consoles, but it does not extend to PC players who cannot disable the feature.

So there may not be an official way to turn it off on PC. That's a big fucking oof.
