I had crazy cpu frametime pulsing when I tried the game on the Origin Ea App. like constant heartbeat drops it was so annoying. I switched to the steam version + Driver update/chip update and it seems fixed.
More games should have that graphics preview benchmark like that movie game with the BPD skizo 🐥 (Hell something Hellblade)

"Ackshually they never said the game is unhackable, they just said the anticheat was really really strong! Of course they expected cheaters anyway! ☝️🤓"
If asking the end user to fuck with their BIOS settings wasn't even a guarantee that there are no cheaters, then they're admitting they did it for shits and to see how much their beaten fanbase will run defense for them.
Sure owned me, man.
Secure boot has been around since Windows 8 and should be the default for any computer meeting the minimum system requirements for BF6. If EA can use that standard feature to reduce cheating, I'm happy for them to do so. If a minority are running non-standard setups and don't want to reconfigure things, bad luck I guess?

One thing I will say is I don't even play sniper, but the scope glare is ridiculous. It's like they have an led flashlight attached to it.

The anticheat team will only be active for a year on BF6, maybe 2 if the game is making fuck tons of money then the anticheat team are shuffled to a new project and all future hacks will be uncontested and undetected for the rest of the games lifespan. Thats the cycle for almost every EA game

Would sure be nice if we had community servers with admins who could ban these cheaters
I'm going to simp a bit more for EA on the anticheat, but some credit should be given that they backported the BF2042 anticheat to BFV and BF1 in the last year. Think it was likely motivated to try and gain some goodwill back from the core BF community!

I Just got a few matches done. As others have said, It's what I've been waiting for a while. I feel like it's 2010 again on my Xbox 360 and Bad company 2 just came out.

I could also tell crossplay was on because the amount of niggercattle refusing to revive me, heal me, or resupply me was staggering.

edit: Just a thought, on the bright side, maybe since most AAA companies are pussyfooting around using real nations for fiction conflicts unless it's the US, maybe that means world war 1 and 2 are off the table for the forseeable future so they'll stop raping those eras with alt history and pozz so they also don't piss off white men. That also means they have to be more creative and make more cool settings like hardline or 2142.

Secure boot exists but is not running by default and can be incompatible with hardware that was standard within the past 5 years, as the past few days have made clear.

It doesn't work there, either, and worse still there are stolen accounts used by cheaters who have been active for multiple years because DICE/EA doesn't monitor reports.

I'm getting the early 2010's vibe and nostalgia with this one. It may not be back for others, but battlefield is so fucking back for me bros.

I'll co-sign what @NeonFlux is saying. I might just turn cross play off because I think console players have a hard time reviving because their auto aim doesn't work for anything outside of the shooty shooty. They're so used to call of duty and forgot what being a selfless teammate means.

Not a fan of the maps so far, feels like I'm constantly getting shot in the back.
This is probably why Breakthrough is the first game mode option.

Other than that my only complaint is the UI is a bit unintuitive at first, and the class icons don't make sense. Being able to carry 2 primary weapons as assault is also just a bit overpowered. Carbine + DMR covers pretty much every engagement range on the current maps. It might just be my aim is shit, but the ACOG on the DMR never feels like its shooting where you're aiming.

The only major bug I've ran into is the games audio dropping if your sound is set to 48Khz, which is bizzare. Some smaller ones are just ragdolling, jumping like it's low gravity, and a couple of visual bugs that went away fairly quickly.

There's the usual BF sniper spam. Half of the enemy team is always recon. But as someone who skipped every game after 4, I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.

One bug I've noticed myself is if I get killed mid jump I seem to keep sailing like 20 feet up into the air before my body ragdolls back down. I flew in a nice arc all the way over a small building one time. This has happened too often for it to be from an explosion launching me upwards, its happening just from getting killed by small arms fire.

It's pretty funny when it does happen though. I haven't seen it happen to anyone else yet though, so maybe the animation is only displaying for the person getting killed.

Not related to Battlefield but still related to EA and DICE, Is SW battlefront 2 worth a shit these days? I see it also still has a healthy playerbase.
I was tempted to reinstall EAfront 2, I've heard that the community has added mods and new characters.

battlefront2 uses the new shitty spyware as anticheat or nah? i still have mine from epic so it should be mostly fine outside needing a update.

Been playing the beta and it's pretty solid, plays like BF3/4 with the movement mechanics of 5/2042 (you can crouch run, vault over high walls, slide, dive etc). They finally (after talking about it for a decade+) implemented soldier dragging and it is a cool mechanic.

The gunplay is tight and TTK is very good, they have a whole blog post about it, destruction is very good and effective without being like in BF1 (which I know used to irritate a lot of people who would get crushed bc they were mongoloids camping buildings), explosives kill but at certain ranges do less damage but add suppression effects (which decrease aim over distance and reduce health regen for a set amount of time unless you're being healed). You can counter that suppression effect as an assault trooper by using the adrenaline syringe, each class gets A LOT of gadgets (and this is only in the limited pool available in the beta, so guaranteed there are more).

They have already announced that they are reworking assault and recon (possibly for the next beta test, possibly after that), assault is getting the redeploy beacon and recon is getting an alternate class specialization that hasn't been in battlefield since BF2, spec ops, which will focus on using suppressed weapons (mostly carbines and smgs) and quiet infiltration of objectives.

The glare on snipers is really bright, on the flip-side other classes can't reliably do a lot of damage to you from sniper range, so you're only fighting other snipers and maybe taking some stray rounds (which feels like an attempt to stop people from camping). The trade off is that the recon gets 2 gadgets that enable pinging on the minimap, the sensor (which gets placed on the ground and can be destroyed) and a UAV (which can be shot down by engineers with rockets).

Weapons are unlocked in the default pool unless you play in the locked playlist, so you can use any weapon on any class, but you get the full effectiveness of the weapon by using then on the intended class. This feels good and like an opportunity for you to play your preferred class on certain objectives when you get spawn locked or something by creating a backup loadout to engage at different ranges. Weapons absolutely have intended ranges and perform very differently across them (shotguns and smgs have significant falloff unless you configure them accordingly, for example, and sniper rifles don't have great handling up close, while DMRs and carbines are good for intermediate engagement by default). The weapon customization system is fantastic and gives you actual numerical values to show what is being changed when you alter the loadout, you get 100 points that you can spend in the loadout however you want, so you have to configure the weapon to make a good loadout.

Tanks are very tank-y, not made of paper and don't die right away and with an effective crew you could easily keep on in the match the entire game of conquest.

Maps are pretty solid, my personal ranking of them is: Siege of Cairo (1), Iberian Offensive (close 2nd), and Liberation Peak (3), I am still looking forward to the New York maps that are in the rotation next weekend.

Pretty good, we'll see after all this if they can keep the momentum going.

First Impressions

I think its very good, ive only played a few games of Conquest but im enjoying it so far, I went with the Assault class, its kinda weird how they get a third weapon as an option for one of their gadgets, but the shotgun is good so im not complaing too hard, you get 2 stims to heal yourself as assault so thats convenient, the Ammo economy is slightly worse then in 2042 but its actually a good problem because that means your support class actually has to be intelligent enough to throw down ammo, which they usually will if you are around and request it, the matchmaking for me has been nothing short of phenomenal, granted ive only played Conquest and I have no interest in the Closed Loadout verison of Conquest so idk what its like in there but I think EA saw a prime oppournity for those pissed about SBMM in BO6 and immediately capitalized on it and im not even really that pressed about CoDs but the games ive played ive easily gotten 15+ kills and the few deaths ive gotten felt fair either because I was playing too agressively or wasnt paying attention to my surroundings like I should have, theres definitely far less Sweatfags those that could be because BF just has bigger team sizes,

The maps do feel a bit small in terms of Battlefield but im not really overly upset about that, beats some of the maps in 2042 the Sniper lanes were fucking annoying on some of those maps so I actually kinda welcome the map sizes in Iberian Offesnive and Liberation Peak though I have yet to play the Cairo map, gonna try the Engineer and Support later and see how they play class-wise

you get 2 stims to heal yourself as assault
Side note the Stim doesn't heal you. It makes you run faster, makes you impossible to crowd control (so suppression doesn't affect you, fire doesn't prevent you from ADSing or sprinting, you can't be concussed or flash-banged), and you become resistant to explosions.

How many people praising the gunplay are on console/controller vs pc/keyboard?
I'm on PC using M&KB, and I've been enjoying the gunplay, though I do think they need to tone down the bloom. I also think the bloom/recoil issues might be specifically because we lack all of the attachments that will eventually be in the game. In older battlefields, I remember being able to turn most guns into no-recoil lasers with the right attachments, so I don't doubt we'll be able to do the same in this game.

But also, I'm 30 years old, so there are tons of gun fights that I'm losing specifically because I'm not a kid on Adderall.
