I don't understand how one match it feels like easy mode then the next match it feels like i'm getting 2 shotted but it says 5 shots hit me.
The game has shit netcode. I can't wait for Battlenonsense's video analyzing it.

It also has shit audio; I never hear enemy footsteps or tanks.

hopefully they let you like in BF5 and 1 but i doubt it,
1 didn’t let you change skins.
5 let you change outfits and what your character looks like so hopefully the various skins let you do so as well.

Not related to Battlefield but still related to EA and DICE, Is SW battlefront 2 worth a shit these days? I see it also still has a healthy playerbase.
Yes IMO.
It’s very fun.
Hell, Battlefront 2015 still has a healthy player base and is fun.

all things considered recent Star Wars games have been fucking terrible with the exception of the newest LEGO one, EA is probably still butthurt from the PR disaster with the Battlefront II fiasco in 2018 but a new Battlefront game would be enjoyable

thats what im assuming, CoD going full collab slop really annoyed me as for Battlefield assuming the gameplay is solid (ill give it a try tommorow with the Open Beta) it could be actually competeing with BO7 in terms of what shooterslop I play, the last time that happened was Battlefield 1 and considering the Infinite Warfare hate bandwagon I literally only played BF1 with a side of Modern Warfare Remastered in terms of my Senior Year of High School

I also picked up Titanfall 2. The resurgence of players to older entry games seems to be unique to dice and Battlefield games in general, I just see COD players eating the slop whenever a dogshit game comes out or quitting temporally . Maybe player demographics have changed since then and there are more PC players in general since consoles are failing.

Playing BF6 is causing my testosterone to spike. I think this game might be able to detransition people.

Jokes aside, I'm very happy with what they've done so far. Legit just Battlefield mixed with MW2019......which isn't a surprise knowing that it's directed by CODs daddyVince Zampella.
Gunplay is satisfying, the destruction is pretty damn good, and the lack of specialists with their annoying quips lets me actually immerse myself in the destructive symphony of rockets gunfire and swearing. The swap back to a 64 maximum playercount lets the maps actually be fun to play. The inclusion of drag revives is a really useful change for medics. The inclusion of crouch sprinting from V is a life saver. Last but not least, I also enjoy the fact they've included limited ammo for tanks and shit again.

The only issue I personally have with the game is a lack of a server browser. Unlocked weapons would've also been an issue, but I think having certain weapons be "preferred" for each class is a decent compromise.

Just from what I've played I'm enjoying this more than any Battlefield entry since BF4 - Gunplay feels just right and the PS5's feedback and adaptive triggers make it a hoot to play on console. The action feels very enjoyable and I think it will lend itself even better to some larger maps than we're getting in the beta with more open spaces. I like to think every kill I get is some streamerfag cursing into his mic as I teabag them, the gadgets feel fun, and as a medic main I love the new drag + revive feature because that shit got me killed so many times in BF4 just having to come out of cover long enough to revive and heal someone. I had a bad feeling when the troon on the dev team was talking about their involvement but they must have locked it in a closet or something because the game seems to be just what I have been wanting since like 2015.

I have no idea how people can be so good at this game. I can't see shit but everyone gets me from a mile away while I'm in cover. 'Git Gud' but damn man it feels like I have a beacon on me.
That's the problem I have with most modern shooters. The graphics are getting so detailed you can't see shit anymore, combined with maps that have many more hiding places and multi-level buildings making it even worse because you can get shot from any random direction. I liked when fights felt like duels which made it feel more skill based, these days it feels more like who sees who first.

Can't tell if this is bad game design or if I'm just getting old and shitty at these games.

Anyway game looks promising despite the above issue. I'll probably get it a shot after I see how the launch goes. Sure as hell not going to preorder.

I hope both teams using the same vehicle models is just a beta thing. Not only does it scream "we didn't have the budget for it", but also it can be confusing at times to tell when a tank is friendly or not at a glance. Sometimes the "red bad guy name" is obscured.

Overall, I'm enjoying the beta.

Yeah, it's an easy fix too, just make it so Germany is one of the nations arming Pax Armata so they get the Leopard Tank.

Well I'm sure I'm going to be disappointed with it, but I think I might stay up til it goes fully public in 3 hours and try a few matches out. Fuck it. Nothing else to do tonight. I'm not watching fucking twitch for a stupid code.

Will do. My favorite HD era battlefield was bad company 2, so I'm not sure I'm the most credible judge anyway. I did really like 3, 4, 1, and 5 though. Couldn't stand 2042, and never tried hardline. Coming back to modern era seems like it could be fun.

A lot of people are comparing it to Bad Company 2 but I'm not a firm judge if it since I didn't get a chance to play it

Ngl it looks like it’s kind of fun to hack in games that call themselves “unhackable” and post it online to gloat.
Source of EA claiming the game is unhackable?

The anticheat team have given this update: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/b...ield-6-update-on-secure-boot--cheats/12439803

"Since Open Beta Early Access’s launch:

  • Javelin has prevented 330,000 attempts to cheat or tamper with anti-cheat controls.
  • You’ve reported 44,000 instances of potential cheaters during day one and another 60,000 so far today.
  • We are already using these with our own Gameplay Integrity team to add and improve our detections for Battlefield 6. They are also working with the Battlefield Positive Play team, to actively remove those reported we confirm to be cheaters.
Anti-Cheat isn't one and done, it's an ever evolving battlefield, and what has worked for us previously or in different games doesn't always work in all of them."

Doesn't sound like they're claiming the anticheating is unhackable at all.

Looks like im out of the beta. I have Windows 10 on dual boot but its not on a GPT-formatted drive (which supports secure boot), reformatting it would be a double pain in my ass and the beta period would likely be over by the time I got everything working. Not completely without hope but I'll probably have to wait for the full release, unfortunately.

Source of EA claiming the game is unhackable?
"Ackshually they never said the game is unhackable, they just said the anticheat was really really strong! Of course they expected cheaters anyway! ☝️🤓"
If asking the end user to fuck with their BIOS settings wasn't even a guarantee that there are no cheaters, then they're admitting they did it for shits and to see how much their beaten fanbase will run defense for them.
Sure owned me, man.

Ended up snagging a code.

Not a fan of the maps so far, feels like I'm constantly getting shot in the back. Likely a skill issue on my part.

Gunplay is alright, not making as many shots as I should but that's on me, gotta get used to it. Shotgun is wrecking though.

I think you’d enjoy it.
It reminds me the most of bad company 2. Smaller maps, increased destruction, and slow/mighty ground vehicles. Mixed with BF3/4 and MW19.

The anticheat team will only be active for a year on BF6, maybe 2 if the game is making fuck tons of money then the anticheat team are shuffled to a new project and all future hacks will be uncontested and undetected for the rest of the games lifespan. Thats the cycle for almost every EA game

Would sure be nice if we had community servers with admins who could ban these cheaters
