Is the game really that bad that it's bricking their computers?
It's an issue with the motherboards themselves probably, considering that I'm only seeing posts involving older-generation motherboards (if they include that information). I remember Gigabyte getting a lot of scrutiny back in 2022 for selling exploding power supplies, so I wouldn't be surprised if they messed up the TPMs or whatever makes Secure Boot work on their motherboards.

Acquaintance on Discord gave me a Beta key since he can't run it.

Yeah it's pretty good. Only had a few graphical glitches so far but damn, inject me with Hope.

I'll try and get in on the weekend, servers and shitty connection permitting. I'll try and play some 2042 beforehand to get a direct comparison of movement.

You meant to use the "never pay more than 0 bucks for a computer game." edit, didn't you? A VPN is all you need.
maybe for turkish vpn's? because argentina got their economy unfucked with jew blessings and the pricing in there is normalized now.
Go to r/gigabyte for kino.
ryzens most affected since most of them don't have integrated graphics :story:
i sure hope people will wake the fuck up and stop fellating these retarded decisions like secureboot or tpm that is only meant to mine more data from you.
aim assist is turned on by default.
it's going to be halo infinite all over again, won't it? aim assist and pc are a recipe for disaster.

KOTH feels way too fast for me, to be honest.
8v8 in a small area over a single point.

Inasmuch as PC players shit on console peasants (not that they’re wrong tbf), a nice consequence of the walled garden of the console ecosystem was that cheating was an order of magnitude more difficult to achieve (still is, but the sheer increase over the years makes that somewhat of a moot point). It’s one of the things that personally turns me off from getting invested in online multiplayer games nowadays
For the Xbox One/Series, yes. MS currently has it under lock and key. PlayStation, I cannot speak on.

Apparently the devs have come out and said that classic maps will be added based on player requests, which I assume means every few months they'll release a survey to see what old map the player base wants reworked
How long until they add the Nuketown of Battlefield: Metro?

So apparently the maps in the beta are the smallest maps in the game.

I genuinely don't know how you can like this.
17-21 damage per shot for the M4A1 means you have to hit a guy 6 times to kill him.
The bloom is all over the place, and i'm almost certain it has the COD SBMM thing that makes it so that if you did well a previous round it alters how much damage you take, because I don't understand how one match it feels like easy mode then the next match it feels like i'm getting 2 shotted but it says 5 shots hit me. Then seeing players eat 30mm rounds while jumping around and hitting you with an AT is just completely immersion breaking. I saw a guy do a jump headshot with a sniper from around a corner. I expended an entire 20 round magazine and only hit a guy 3 times with an M4 even though my crosshairs covered his body (even with the bloom).

It's a trainwreck, this thing is going to only last a tiny bit of time and then all the COD players will go back to playing COD, because thats all they did with it. They reinvented MW2019 and its total shit.

Very amusing that when me, my brother, and our friends play in a squad we're either 1st or 2nd place in squad rank at the end of a match, yet I continue to see people bitching about how all the guns suck and they die too fast.
Turns out you all just fucking suck.

The TTK is unsurprising if the game is based around Bad Company 2. I went from MW2 to BC2 and got a rude awakening in how easily you die and get the floor mopped with your brain matter if you try the CoD strategy of running around like an idiot. However, the last few games felt more CoD-like than previously, and you could do a bit more run-and-gun than was permissible in the past.

I'm hoping it's the former, and the CoD players are just getting mowed down for being reckless.

BFV's pacific theater is amazing, great to see Iwo Jima and Wake Island in the modern era. V seemed to have really redeemed itself at the end of it's lifecycle even though the female soldiers and fortnite skins are still everywhere. It reminds me of a more wacky rising storm 2. It really isn't worth much more than 5$ though.

Speaking of the TTK, assuming it's in line with MW 2019, as some streamers have compared it, that puts it a little lower than most Battlefield games from at least three and up. I tried to find Bad Company 2, but the only TTK data I could find for it is from an old website where a dude claimed the game had 500 milliseconds TTK, which seems nuts.

Anyway, here's a table someone made for BFV comparing its most popular weapon categories, Carbine and AR, to BF 3 and 4's. Battlefield 1 apparently had a ttk for one gun around 387 milliseconds, while another on the lower end was 280 milliseconds, but that's obviously not on the chart.

Modern Warfare 2019 sits at around 183 milliseconds on average, faster than BF 3's TTK range of 200 milliseconds for AR's. So, assuming that's true and assuming this chart is true, Battlefield 6 is faster than BF 3 by 20 miliseconds, but we truly won't know until some autists do some tests.

2042 Sat at the low end at 200 milliseconds while at the higher ends it would reach the 380s
