I wouldn't say nobody cares. Battlefield hype has been in the toilet for years.

They're still trying too hard to be CoD, although with CoD now being Fortnite that might not be the worst choice.

I fully expect DICE to lure people in with the milsim aspect, only for it to be completely lost on them and they start doing the Fortnite stuff they wanted in 2042.

That and also crossover other IPs in order to stay relevant with the times, which honestly, isn't going to help a dying franchise from, well, dying

mostly due to the marketing being utterly retarded (just don't buy it!) and the games itself being regressive dogshit, not the monetizing.
people are willing to deal with a lot of shit and fleecing if the game itself is at least good, but like most companies these days dice thinks they can shit out whatever and people will still be buying everything because they're "fans"...
 
Bad news bump for Battlefield on PS3 and Xbox 360:

Battlefield 3, 4 and Hardline will be sunsetted on legacy consoles come November 7, 2024. I predict Hardline on all platforms will be sunsetted very soon as well.

If Dice and EA were smart. They would make a game that combines escape from Tarkov milsim with the level destruction of bad company 2. But they will probably just make a gay Battlefield game with an ugly Overwatch art style like the new Dragon Age game running on the same Battlefield 2042 Frostbite engine. Somehow, they keep copying the Overwatch art style but make it ugly. Instead of just copying cartoony Fornite graphics.

I don't know if people remember but there was a small portion of the community during BF3's peak that were asking for a PVE mode to compete with Nazi Zombies but used waves of dinosaurs on conquest maps with 64 players and full vehicle access.

Dinosaur mode is the only way.

The Outbreak event is quite lame but better than the PvP+androids mode they made a couple of seasons earlier.
As usual the rewards are shit (emblem, a shitty skin and a weapon charm) and Isaac's suit aka the reward that people actually want is in the store.
