DICE revealed the Stadium map layout, which has more of the outside area as playable, than the actual Stadium itself:

The roof of the Stadium is (I think) an out-of-bounds area, so that Snipers can't camp up there to have literally over half of the playable area in clear LOS. And you also can't flank around the backside of the Stadium, since it's also out-of-bounds.

When did EA start their Shortcut Kit microtransactions? Pay to skip the grind for various weapons and vehicles. How have people NOT caused a stink about that? Even Call of Duty hasn't done that, at least until recently.

Bad Company 1 has the slight honor of being distinct in the sea of modern shooters. I do appreciate BC2's shooting refinements.

I never got to play BC1. I think I went from BF 2142 to BC2. But I loved the destructible terrains and a lot of the map design.

Bad Company 2 was such a great game and still holds up.
It was pretty good for the time.
Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 1 are where I had the most fun with the franchise.
Battlefield 4 is massively overrated as I feel it could’ve just been DLC for BF3.

Battlefield 5 was a massive disappointment and I’m annoyed people are doing the rose tinted glasses thing with it nowadays. All they needed to do was make BF1 but World War 2…
Instead they tried to do that stupid “lesser known battles” garbage and go chronologically when nobody wanted that. We wanted D-Day, Battle of The Bulge, Stalingrad, Iwo Jima, etc.
That’s ignoring all the DEI crap plus those weird premium skin/Hero Characters that nobody asked for.

2042 was everything crappy about BF5 but dialed up to 11. Bad animations, weird UI, DEI, Hero Characters, tons of bugs. It just sucked.

In EA's earnings call today, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that the next Battlefield game will be a "tremendous live service", aka it's going to suck:

And Tom Henderson is seething again about this announcement, although I'm not sure how relevant he is anymore:

I just wanna say the railgun is the dumbest fucking thing ever a battlefield game, second to that retarded ass shield.

I don't think I ever played BF 3 besides a couple of single player missions. So when I got BF4 it felt new as I never played BF3. However I ended up returning BF4 due to all the bugs at launch and came back to it 12 months later.

I hate shieldfags so fucking much. The incendiary grenade barely do damages on them anymore, same with shooting their feet.

lol, BF is gonna suck harder than CoD and Halo, if the FPS race is even relevant anymore.

Call of Duty is going to "win" by default because it's a yearly release with a fair amount of whales to support their overpriced, bloated bundles.

I recall that's the same guy that approved Anthem from Bioware's tech demo. Man doesn't even play video games, all he sees is profit.

that's a positive in that case tho.
bioware basically made up a fake teaser to have something to show off at e3, the reaction was positive, of course he's gonna tell the studio he fucking owns to make the game they just showed to the whole fucking world.
and it doesn't stop there, bioware can't figure out for years what to do with it till another exec (or him, bioware never stated who) suggest to stick to the flying aspect (iirc the plan was have the flying as part of the loading screen like destiny's ship orbit). what's hilarious is that bioware tried to spin this as some "poor us getting bullied by execs" which didn't work since everyone saw the shit they produced for launch and after inquisition and later andromeda evaporated any remaining positive notions.

TLDR: he was right and the game was a great iron man simulator, bioware just fucked up the launch so hard there was no coming back from.
