I've encountered a problem with BF3 and Hardline on xbox gamepass. They both need to be launched through EA Play, but then they just open battlelog in browser and demand to be launched through Origin, but when I do that it doesn't see me owning the games on gamepass . Am I just fucked and unable to play them with it?
they probably were never updated, gamepass wasn't a thing back then and battlelog has been phased out.

there might be some workaround but didn't look for it.

Is your EA Play account linked to your Xbox account?

One year after BF2042's release, DICE says that they "feel really good", and that people should give the game a second chance. Considering all the players that they burned with the "You don't like it, don't buy it" motto with BFV's marketing, and BF2042 being released as an incomplete game, I don't think many of those people would give it a second chance.

DICE also released another briefing, previewing content to come. They say again that Season 5 will be a thing (unless again they give up on the game, like how they did with BFV), and Discarded will be the next map to be reworked in Season 4, leaving Hourglass as the most obvious last map to be reworked.

There will be a BF4 map in Season 5 (again, if it even happens), and the description of it hints to be Zavod 311.

If we go by base maps and popularity, I could only really see Zavod because of the overgrown aspect. Unless, it's describing a map that has become engulfed by vegetation when it wasn't previously. Golmud and Siege were rather popular so those two wouldn't be surprising if it isn't Zavod.

DICE would probably avoid remaking the China maps, due to BF4 getting banned in China after the China Rising DLC came out. But then again, since there's an increasing chance that China will probably ban video games outright, maybe EA decides to no longer take China into account...

Interesting how they say this as BF2042 was recently added to Game Pass. Yeah, I don't think DICE deserves a second chance with 2042. It deviated too far from what Battlefield fans expect from the franchise on top of being an unstable mess at launch. They really had the audacity to ask $10 more for 128 player battles ran by a battle royale framework abandoned mid-development.

I imagine the sting with 2042 came from BFV's horrible marketing against its core fans. That's two back to back examples of DICE ignoring what the fans want to follow trends.

This week's BF2042 event is Spearhead on 128 player Breakthrough:

The cosmetics are the same typical low-effort ones from DICE, and the starting 525 tickets that attackers have seems to be too low, given that there are 5 sectors that they have to get to win. 600-700 tickets would be a bit more fair, given that the old 128 player Breakthrough mode had those starting ticket counts for the attackers.

Why can't they give Angel a jacket that fits the pants he's wearing?
The new map could be better if there was a way for people to get to the top of the two buildings without the need of a helicopter.

You think we will ever see more than two multiplayer factions with their own theme music, flags, unique voice samples and character models? It is something I miss in call of duty games. I know we will probably never see China or Middle Eastern coalition return as battlefield factions. I can't see why we can't see an EU military faction returning. Or another military that isn't the United States or Russia.

Who would pay money for these cosmetics?
I don't think they do, since I thought the event was free to all players. It's the other overpriced shit in the store that they released alongside the event that you have to shell put shekels for.
I'd rather play BFV over 2042. If V had more development time to iron out bugs, more post-launch support, toned down the social justice marketing, it could've been a cult classic as a fantastical spin on Battlefield.

Sure, if they had advertised it as an alternative universe instead of being completely retarded.

I wish there was a way to complete the weekly challenges in solo/co-op conquest.

I don't know how this pertains to Chinese New Year, but DICE is giving away this universal weapon skin, to all players to log in to BF2042 this month:

The skin itself looks like the bare minimum too.
I'm really curious what percentage of all accounts will have this skin once it's not available anymore. I'd bet its less than 10% and it's free to anyone that just opens the game.
