Sadly, this isn't a new thing in 2042, as in-game advertisements have been a thing since Battlefield 2, back in 2005:
Battlefield 2142 also had similar in-game ads as well.

I know that the racing and sports titles do this thing, I just didn't think Battlefield would ever stoop to that level.
Then again, I didn't think Battlefield would suddenly get the Paper Mario and Banjo-Kazooie treatment, so what do I know?

Meh, you could easily ignore in with 2. The maps are barren anyway.

I know this can't be just me, but do you all remember the petty engagements from 4 and V? Like you're in an isolated spot of the map with a respawn beacon that's well hidden and some guy kills you. You respawn, and you kill him and vice versa. There's nothing like that in 2042. And I really loved those dumb engagements.
I would just run around to find and kill the guy, not even playing objective because it was that fun. I miss those battles so much.

Insurgency is still fun, but that game actually requires some teamwork.
I remember when ads in games were new, and everyone got pissed off about it for maybe a week, but then went back to playing their games.
Are you imply Titanfall 1 was a bad game? Oh come on...

It's an online game that had its servers shut down, it's remaining purpose is being a waste of hard drive space these days.

No, what @Vault Boy said. Also Titanfall 2 servers got hacked to the point of making the multiplayer unplayable.

That's whats going on with EA Battlefront 2 now. There's a new hack that leaves everyone at 1 hp and no one dies.

I don't know for sure but I don't see why not. I know it's been spotted in HvV before.

Just looked it up, the hack only affected PC, so you should be fine for sure on consoles.
