BFVagina already had those operators as microtransactions. One of them was a pilot who looked like Tom Cruise in Top Gun.

Is the main game even worth saving at this point? The specialist system ensures that it'll take months for the game to play like a Battlefield title, and it doesn't even have the benefit of Disney breathing down EA's neck like with Battlefront II. They might be better off giving it the bare minimum support and cut it off after a year like BFV to get a fresh start for the next title.

The only thing that might be worth salvaging is Portal mode, they could dedicate the bulk of their development on adding more content from past titles to make the game the ultimate celebration for Battlefield. Even then, what's to stop them from stopping now and bringing Portal back for the next Battlefield game?
 
I remember when people way back when thought the BF 1942 Secret Weapons expansion was silly. Time only makes everything worse.

I doubt that they can fix the game. I'm sure they know that nobody likes the specialist system but they probably don't care since it's designed to be the main source of money. As for the Portal mode, it might become the best mode that BF2042 can offer if they don't forget to fix the legacy feature that is the hit registration.

He looks like he's from Payday 2. Or in other words, a game literally about robbing banks while dressed as a clown.
 
They should have put the hero shooter crap in the BR/Tarkov rip-off mode and left the rest of the game as a proper Battlefield.
Going full hero shooter/Twitch bait will be the death of the franchise.

You can't. It's not the first time that DICE go after trends. During BF1 they wanted to make a competitive esport thing, it failed. Then in BFV they made a battle royale mode and failed because no one asked for BR mode in a Battlefield game. Now it's the hero shooter meme, they want their own Fortnite/Overwatch/R6 Siege crap.
