Players will just invent new words to get past the filter. I wonder how long until someone gets banned for misgendering.
 
A forced profanity filter in an M rated game? What cracked out manager thought that was a good idea. For fucks sake even runescape realized it was dumb, and added an option to turn it off, and that's a game with a younger target market.

Also I have to laugh at "treat others the way you want to be treated" in a fps. Those games were made for griefing.

Optional profanity filter? Fine, kinda wierd on M rated game about war and death but sure I can see someone might want that sometimes. If not for anything else to cutdown unnecessary fillertext during a match. Forse it on everyone regardless of preferences or bugs? Great idea. Let me guess it's going to have issues with international play like when a Japanese player got banned for saying "run away" because it kinda sounds like nigger ("nigeru").
 
The profanity filter is just them admitting that their target audience is still spergy 14 year olds who shout nigger despite the M rating.

The Division 2 has one which is even dumber since
a)it's not just chat that's filtered but even applies to shit like your saved loadout names
b)there's a bunch of shit in the filter that makes no sense since it's not profanity
Of course that game is also made by a bunch of Swedish faggots which probably explains it.

Every Battlefield game ever released has been a bug riddled mess

Loot crates for the best guns
One fucking hundred motherfucking pounds for the top edition, which isn't the full game, you're going to need to spend a few thousand on loot crates to get the full game.

Battlefield is like a sandbox that's been filled with cat turds. Nobody wants to play in it and anyone who does is probably dumb enough to try and eat the sand.
 
Modern multiplayer games have reached the point where calling someone a nigger or a tranny will get you the same punishment as if you were using cheats to bypass anticheat to get aimbot/speedhack/ESP/etc. I can't wait for the 'to certain or all EA Services' ban, (as usual corporat talk comes to 'we do as we please') which comes to wonder when do we get meta IRL and have hardware equipment ie studio microphones that will detect you saying racial slurs and just brick itself.
