It's telling of how video games are expected to cater to a streamer demographic. Instead of PLAYING the game, people are expected to WATCH people zip around in a game. That explains all these collaborations and shoddy skins that plague the FPS demographic. Hey, this streamer is in the game, I want HIS skin to cosplay as him!

I'm glad DICE is sticking to their core audience (so far) with Battlefield. If I have to deal with people like this, that's an immediate disconnect and uninstall from me. Casual play don't want to relearn meta or counter somebody exploiting movement just to be bait for footage.

My primary issue with 2042 is that there's no risk in planes. You spawn in midair, you regen HP, and you bomb the map before the first point is captured. Older games, you spent time to run back, get in, fly, get shot once and basically running on fumes.

Planes are like jedis in SW:BFII. People camp them and win the match with it. And it fucking blows.

Map flow in 2042 is horrible. Empty spaces, long narrow corridors or poorly placed objective spawns make it a chore to play.

I don't give two shits about either game cause I am not going to play them, but I will greatly enjoy antagonizing both sides during this retarded FPS slapfight. Also, I am right, and movement FPS games are superior to conquest slop. Why else would Battlefield be dead over all these years while FPS games only get faster paced? Because that's what players want to see, that's why.
I appreciated that even the bait posters on the farms are more honest than their /v/ counterparts. Here's a (you).

Regarding movement, though Battlefield is not a milsim game by any stretch of the imagination, the good ones have strived to be somewhat grounded to maintain the military pastiche (it's funny that COD is brought up as the go-to movement autism game nowadays, given that that wasn't true at all of the older CODs (being much more similar to the older battlefields in all but map design and having vehicles)). There are a boatload of games with advanced movement nowadays which these COD transplants could go to (classic games would be quake and other arena shooters, modern titles include the Finals, Apex Legends, TF|2, etc.), the only reason such individuals want it in BF6 is so they can be the big fish in a little pond (either through being a ritalin-addled spastic or, more likely than not, just binding macros), ergo fuck 'em.

From my experience conquest in 2042 is beyond miserable, granted I only played the game mode for <5 hours, but still. Planes absolutely dominate every single match and using anti-air rocket launchers feels like an absolute joke, out of 20 shots maybe 1 isn't countered by the flares.

2042 is currently on sale till the 2nd of September, also has a free battlepass that will unlock some cosmetic crap in BF6.

The 2042 battle pass is deceptively grindy. Every level takes more XP to get to the next one.

If you did all the weekly challenges in the last few days and got to level 6, you need to grind to level 27 for only challenges left to complete, which is 20-30 hours of additional gameplay.
20-30 hours, but (possibly) only if you do it this week.

If you save the gameplay grind until the end of the pass but have done all the weekly challenges, your high level could fuck your XP progression, adding a fuck ton of hours to the grind.

I don’t know if this is 100% confirmed, but it appears to be the way the battle pass progression works.
Hopefully the free levels gained through challenges don’t raise the XP limit per level.

This is the most autistic thing I’ve ever written, inspired by AFKing in boosting servers over the last few days.
I think I’ve become retarded.

Can we give this nigger a pink triangle already? The grand majority of his time spent on this site lately has just been picking fights with people over petty disagreements or to defend people he has a gay crush on like his boyfriend Creetosis.

Do these actually work? I joined one of those supply grind servers where people stand in a circle spamming ammo crates and barely got any XP out of it.

The rewards at the very end of the battlepass look nice, but fuck me, grinding all the way to lvl 50 sounds like torture.

Having played Battlefield 3 the last two days, (first time playing any of the games since 5+ years) I can fairly say the game still holds up to this day. The satisfaction of moments like shooting down a plane with an MBT or parachuting in to an enemy control point and taking it after shooting all the defenders in their backs, is still unmatched.

Get a shit bucket and lose the job. IYKYK.

Developers/Publishers believe them to be free marketing, that's why the big names get away with buying and using cheat programs. Kids see this gameplay and try to mimic it either through practice or unknowingly follow the same path in buying cheats so they, too, can be super awesome and quick.
If one or more of these big streamers gets banned for it then of course it's going to cause more suspicion and allow the dominoes to fall.

I remember Stodeh and the like being accused of cheating back in the day and he was never as wild as half these Adderall-chugging zoomers.

that's the idea, so you fork out cash to skip battlepass levels with money.
i've played a game where they introduced this battlepass feature and you needed to grind nonstop for 15 days to max the fucking thing or skip the grind for 20$.

In 2042's defense, that battle pass for Battlefield 6 is time-limited but free. AFAIK, you cannot pay to progress. Now, you could argue it's for another purpose to artificially inflate 2042's engagement.

Ah, thank god DICE resisted the temptation to make it more like BF4, but threw in some wahmen soldiers!

We all know there’s going to be tranny emblems and charms as well, since they’ll need to monetize the fuck out of their battle pass to get even a chance on making their money back.
Also here's a datamined map of the biggest map in the game

Still think it’s extremely suspicious that they didn’t put one of the large maps in the beta.

Seems to indicate that it’s either not finished, and it’ll be a halfassed map put together while crunching, or that they know it’s not a very good map, and frontloaded the beta with their best ones.

BF2042 had huge maps as well. They just weren’t very good.

I played Battlefield 3 today, first time in almost a decade and I gotta say it's pretty comfy, chat was full of gamer words when people sperged out. Will setup Battlefield 2 MP next.
BFV and BF1 servers are banging as well.

Not expecting much from BF6, but it’s nice to see the actual good BF games getting some action.
