Dave Cullen lives in Dublin and she lives in Arizona. She invited him to stay at her place after Vidcom and that's when they made a few videos together. They do seem to be actually friends who enjoy some teasing. Besides, she has a fiance who is the father of her younger kid.

The thing with Based Mama is that she seems to be overcompensating for something, probably for the fact she's been both a Mormon and a Muslim. This isn't unusual in people who come from a very conservative background and I remember some people mentioned she was a very radical muslim, even participating in the beating of some other girl (this is in some video that I haven't yet seen so take it with a grain of sailt). Now, she's still retained some "conservative" traits, but she's more a libertarian than a conservative. Dave Cullen, on the other hand, is conservative and traditionalist. Around the time her mother died, he was talking about how he considers himself a "Cultural Christian" and he was talking about the Confirmation of his niece and what this means for him. Little after that, he stopped talking about all of that and only kept making videos supporting marriage and traditional values. I guess he knew most of the "septic" community would go after him if he ever admits some approaching to organized religion?

Now, people like Allsup is using this against her and they're trying to 'slut-shame' her for her personal life. They're also trying to paint Cullen as some idiot who's been used and was easily manipulated by her boobs. I can see why he had to leave twitter, to be honest. He seemed to have been in a path of self-discovering when his mother got sick (I don't want to sound like I'm "doxing" Dave, but I googled for an obituary around the time of her mother's death to check if he was telling the truth, and there is one in which the family asks that any donation should be sent to the Irish Cancer Society, so maybe that's the reason she died and that doesn't show up in one day), and now he's part of a scandal involving $85K. I don't care about Based Mama's personal life, but how her actions affected a person she called a friend and she seems not to mind at all probably paint her in her true colors. Has she even apologised to him in public? doesn't look like: she's acting like nothing happened.

She doesn't have enough power to do this. IF (big emphasis in the IF) this is done in purpose, she could be part of it, but not the instigator or the motivator.

Of course, we're talking about $ 85K, so who knows. I'm not saying this is a fraud because the event will happen anyway, but some accusations of fraud could be done and many wouldn't like to see their reputations being stained like this.

I suppose her name was supposed to be inspired by Christina Hoff Sommers, real Based Mom, the difference is that she earned that name, that's why it's badass.

To be fair, you don’t need a high IQ to scam “skeptics.” Holy fuck, a community of skeptics throw money at a scam artist without doing any due diligence. It’s like rain on your wedding day or something.
 
Manipulating a community that prides itself on intellectual integrity? Next, you'll tell me that some of these scholarly giants were once paid to promote an app that gathered data to help develop a censorious AI? Why, I never!

Except the "skeptics" weren't the ones scammed, but the Right wingers, the ones who thought they would be funding and attending a conference with Allsup, Baked Alaska, Faith Goldy, Lauren Southern, and others that have now pulled out. In case you haven't noticed, most of these "skeptics" are liberal leftists, which is synonym with being poor.

The funniest thing is that I keep hearing Based Mama is supposed to be conservative or even libertarian, but she was in a video saying she wanted to make Social Justice Great Again or something. I'm not surprised. Most of these low key anti-SJWs or Skeptics are liberal. Only a few aren't.
