As a Cubs fan we're going to nip our window in the bud now that we have to dig our way out of having the worst bullpen in the league that wasted PCA's historic season (he's still the NL MVP imo) while also possibly losing Ian Happ and/or Seiya Suzuki. I think straight up missing the playoffs would've been less humiliating than our non-effort against the Padres, plus it would probably light more of a fire under the team's ass to address the bullpen.

Between the Brewers going to the World Series and having a serious shot at winning it and the Packers shellacking the Bears last week, this has not been a good week as someone on the Chicago side of the Chicago-Wisconsin sports rivalry.
