Didn't they say that they don't have different starting abilities and its just cosmetic now?I thought WOTC banned races from being evil and they are all quirky blobs with slightly different starting abilities?
I could could care less what WOTC does they may own the IP but I still have the old source books. I do not go by their faggoty new lore and system as I actually want a interesting setting with conflict instead of a boring bland world were everyone likes each other and jab troonshine into each other to feel hekkin valid dude. Players of all kinds of games really need to just learn to give the companies the finger and not buy their product. Just like with games you can always play the older and better product. With TT you can go even further and just add new things you like and ignore the rest without giving them a cent.wtfNeedSighUp: I thought WOTC banned races from being evil and they are all quirky blobs with slightly different starting abilities?
nope, only females layed an egg, or at least they never mentioned males laying eggs in none of the editions so far.So the asexual mpreg egg laying thing was a Larion thing? And here I thought it was just another DND perversion.
they are from astral plane, a plane which is interesting and boring at the same time. they are well representing their planeçI am also not that well versed in the astral realm or the Githyanki as I do not like them as a race or even as an enemy or antagonist because as I said before they are boring.
Stories which take place effectively over the course of maybe a week are boring.
Thought this was a funny juxtaposition. Obviously there's a huge difference between the type of story being told in each game. Not only does DE's story work far better for a short time frame, the difference in writing quality between the two is immeasurable. Also wanted to say you have goated taste for putting The Longest Journey in your top 5. The Syberia series is also pretty great. God forbid a game exists with a female MC that's not just pure coomer bait or pozzed propaganda.Disco Elysium
Yeah, I guess what I meant more was like... 'epic fantasy stories' that take place over the course of a week specifically. BG3 implies this enormous scale, and it's basically over with in an afternoon. Everything feels like it popped up a day or two before you arrived, conveniently so you could knock it over.Thought this was a funny juxtaposition.
Just from the aesthetic I can see in a quick search, it does look dope. I'll probably look into it, been meaning to get through a few more old adventure games. Also wanted to say you have goated taste for putting The Longest Journey in your top 5. That's... an interesting factoid I wasn't aware of, but sadly not one that surprises me. Too many politically inclined creatives are willing to compromise their art to bludgeon you over the head with their faggotry. But a fair warning about the whole pozzed-propaganda: The Longest Journey was written by the same guy as Dustborn. It's an almost unbelievable transformation, but I guess that's just what happens to people who get high on their own supply and don't have anyone to gainsay them.
Yeah, and that's part of what makes it so difficult to grok. TLJ and Dreamfall (not Chapters) both had plenty of progressive themes in them, but they were handled with a finesse that was impressive even back then. I distinctly remember that April's landlord is one of the first characters you interact with, and she's a lesbian. The game calls zero attention to it, and makes no big deal out of it - it just is what it is, and it impresses that, in the setting, no-one cares and no-one gives a shit.That's... an interesting factoid I wasn't aware of, but sadly not one that surprises me. And that's fucking '99, when you'd almost give a progressive-leaning game a pass for being more vociferous in its messaging. Meanwhile, Dustborn acts like we've somehow regressed in the last 25 years, and released after BG3 swept the 2023 GOTY shit - a game in which everyone wants to have homosex with you, including the guy who wants to tickle that zoophilia itch as well.
Does anyone actually use Halsin? Does anyone actually have someone other than Halsin get kidnapped?
in game time bg1 took somewhere between 3 months to 7 months depends on how many quest you have done how difficult was it etc. and you realistically have reasons to explore and do stuff. bg2 is also similar. ToB expension is less full but still requires rests because how difficult it is but still took 3 months or so.Yeah, I guess what I meant more was like... Personally the one thing I was worried with Larian handling the game was them ruining it with their redditor humor. Swen getting giddy like a toddler over the concept of tossing around halflings before the game's release didn't inspire much hope in me, either. But they didn't go too crazy with it. Most of the existing issues seem to have stemmed from WOTC faggotry, as per usual. Would've been a much better game if they didn't force them to go with their bastardization of the Bhaalspawn saga.I don't want any of the wokeness in the game. It would be that much better if it weren't there. But Larian didn't overdue it or let their political leanings drive the narrative in most situations.
Halsin was my kidnap victim only on my first playthrough, but this comment made me realize that I only used him in my most recent completed run because so many characters left the party/ perma died that I basically had no choice but to use him. The only characters that survived to the after party were God Gale and Halsin that playthrough. Womp.Does anyone actually use Halsin? Wasn't he a character added by popular requests of yaoi-tards in their extended open beta? It was clear they never meant to include him (overlap with Jaheira, him having absolutely nothing to do post-Act 2), but did because people asked for him.As for the Halsin thing - They masterfully used that scene to drive marketing. Truly brilliant of them. But I don't think anyone really cares for Halsin. He's in that secondary character category that makes him not worth taking. He's my kidnapped person unless he's dead because I Durged too close to the sun.
This, its not mean-spirited or performative woke, but gamers making something they love.was them ruining it with their redditor humor
No, despite Wood Elves being super powerful with their resistances and extreme movement, I couldn't really enjoy the character. Minty is great, I love how unapologetically evil her values are.Does anyone actually use Halsin? Does anyone actually have someone other than Halsin get kidnapped?
This, and worse than "playersexual"/Gay, he's poly, a sexuality only found in dark hives of perversion like reddit. Companies really overestimate the number of these permanently online folk. (This is my 2546th post here, I can't talk)Wasn't he a character added by popular requests of yaoi-tards in their extended open beta?
Astarion is so used to being forced into sex by fear, it takes time for him feel comfortable with it.Astarion say that he's "not ready for that sort of thing yet"
I haven't done the Gale romance yet, but it seems extravagant magical sex is another way he tries to prove he's not worthless.
I occasionally use him as an extra tank/healer or for his meat shield summons. The latter really come in handy during the Balthazar fight.Does anyone actually use Halsin? Does anyone actually have someone other than Halsin get kidnapped?
