it would probably be even more questionable, and given clown world way to pussy for some "real" cyberpunk. They should do a Shadowrun game. Seems like it would be up their alley.

Shadowrun is already plenty pozzed by default since the NAN aren't a bunch of rapist alcoholics who have one by one begged the UCAS to rescue them from their fellow natives. After Custer and his 7th Cav got wiped out the Crow and Arikara were left absolutely despondent because the US Army was the only thing between those two tribes and the Lakota Sioux.it would probably be even more questionable, and given clown world way to pussy for some "real" cyberpunk.
Yeah, Minsc is as he always was, I know people are mad because Matthew Mercer, but he IS a voice actor, he is talented, and he does a great Minsc impression so I cannot say I have anything to complain about when it comes to his performance, it didn't feel shoehorned in at all for me.Honestly a lot of design decisions tells me there was a tug-o-war between a LOT of shit.
Like how most of the holdovers from bg2 going into bg3 looks more shoehorned in than anything else.
And by most I mean literally everyone BUT minsc. What the fuck is victonia doing at a sharite temple instead of being minthara, what the fuck is jaheira doing back at the harpers, why the hell is sarevok alive and jacking off baal after being literally disowned.
Also wheres NWN references. Seriously. The gith. But no NWN reference. Tf.
Why do we have grazilaxx but at home, and why the fuck is the campaign AFTER descent into avernus not have avernus.
I just can't tell what directions the pulling is going.
Just imagine, that would be pure fucking kino. They should do a Shadowrun game. Seems like it would be up their alley.
They probably approached Larian and offered to roll them in but Sven was like, nah nigga. Which is smart on his part.Looks like we got our answer why Larian isn't doing another DnD game. Hasbro is opening an internal game development department and are probably going to make more DnD games all because of how successful BG3 was.
Hasbro exec says Baldur's Gate 3 "proved for us that people really wanted great D&D games," supports Larian's plan to "take the time we need"

They really think we're gonna forget about sword coast legends huh.Looks like we got our answer why Larian isn't doing another DnD game. Hasbro is opening an internal game development department and are probably going to make more DnD games all because of how successful BG3 was.

With the direction of WOTC games in general, lol good fucking luck. I know I won't be touching any of their games pre-emptively simply because they're known for retarded decisions. (And not just the woke shit. Things like the OGL fiasco shows it's the committee MBA people in charge, not game designers or game devs.)Looks like we got our answer why Larian isn't doing another DnD game. Things aren't really looking good for WotC. Larian pulled a massive power move and told WotC that they don't need them. This proved to me that Larian really did put their foot down to a lot of questionable things that WotC wanted to add and do for the game like hiring Sweet Baby Inc. Then there is rumors that Matt Mercer wants to walk away from his contract and do his own thing. If Mercer walks away this will greatly damage WotC as the only reason why D&D now has a sizable female fanbase is because of Mercer. He walks away and that female fanbase will go with him as their loyalty is to Mercer and not WotC. With Larian walking away and Mercer possibly doing the same thing too WotC will suffer greatly which is the outcome I so badly want. This company deserves nothing but suffering for the bullshit they they have pulled over the years.I will fully and readily admit I was completely wrong about Larian Studio from the get-go. I'd assumed a lot before playing BG3 and even amidst it my skepticism ran high. Now I realize Larian has probably fighting an internal battle for quite a long time and Swen seems to be at the forefront. This even recolors every instance where Swen went on the promo trail for BG3 for me and had to listen to a bunch of faggots guffaw about bear sex. Swen may have smiled and played it off as good fun, but internally I wonder what his thoughts really were.
Nobody looking at this right now sees WotC as having "won" anything here. No matter what end of the political spectrum you find yourself, I think the fact that Larian so willingly walked away from any future DnD projects was a power move and is worthy of respect.
Fuck WotC. Fuck Woke DnD.
I, for one, look forward to whatever Larian's next game will be.
Sounds like they're worthy of their own thread. This company deserves nothing but suffering for the bullshit they they have pulled over the years.
I've wanted to start a few threads but I never know where to start. Maybe y'all could give me some pointers. When did WotC start treading the road to perdition?Sounds like they're worthy of their own thread.
I’ve only been following WotC’s antics in the magic front, but I think mid to late 2015 was probably where they started making poor choices. 5e was published in 2014, and they put out the beginning of the worst marvel-esque storyline in magic pretty soon after.I've wanted to start a few threads but I never know where to start. There is a lot you will need to look at. Clownfish TV and Kasimir Urbanskia- RPG Pundit have a lot of videos on WotC that gives you the rundown on some of their controversy. There is also interviews that many of the D&D devs have made where the white male devs talk about wanting to eradicate white men from the hobby and how the future of D&D is queer. That worked well for Bud Light, Target and Planet Fitness I'm sure it will work out well for D&D. You will also need to look at the CEO of WotC's, Cynthia Williams. A lot of the bad and outright retarded decision that have been made for D&D have been her ideas.I've wanted to start a few threads but I never know where to start. I suppose I could start there, but is that the earliest people started seeing this shift into full-blown woke?I’ve only been following WotC’s antics in the magic front, but I think mid to late 2015 was probably where they started making poor choices. 5e was published in 2014, and they put out the beginning of the worst marvel-esque storyline in magic pretty soon after.
Same as my previous comment to Logistical Nightmare. If you're willing DM me some of the earliest sources and I can probably go from there. I can even update you and others based on my researching. Maybe I can submit something to PG eventually. There is a lot you will need to look at. For future runs, I just wanted to point out that Moonrise is divided in ''sections'' that are wholly unaware of each other. You can kill everyone in the prison and no one upstairs will know as long as you dispose of the scrying eyes, you can kill everyone in the docks/outside patrolling area with no trouble, you can kill Z'rell and the guys sitting outside of her study area safely with the door closed and then kill the two zealots sitting outside of her area on the balcony, and then move on to the necromancer and her necromites, and then the two guards and scrying eye patrolling in the square area accessible through Balthazar's lab/Isobel and Ketheric's rooms. The throne room can be a bit more dicey, but I've successfully kited the enemies back towards the upstairs area to kill them quietly. It's pretty anticlimactic as opposed to fighting your way in with the Harpers since you'll just face a room with the 3-4 people you forgot or didn't bother killing and then the optional fight in the dungeon area before it's time to move on to the rooftop, but I almost always do it this way on HM to ensure my party's safety. The only thing you really have to look for is the scrying eyes, since they summon enemies, but that's also a tried and true way of eliminating everyone in a setting that's more comfortable for you.On a BG3 note, I finally managed to slaughter Moonrise tower on tactician and I feel retarded for not thinking of the solution earlier.
