I think I fucked up on Shart's romance by not long resting enough in previous acts. It's just stuck at kissing. And speaking of broken, telling the Aasimar that the sorcerer is looking for her broke her scripting completely after the battle (probably because I didn't speak to the sorcerer beforehand) and I just reloaded and told him she was dead to get it over with. Fuck that useless lesbo OC.

At least I finished the iron throne yesterday, which, in regular Larian fashion, is the kind of event that is extremely unlikely you'd be prepared for unless you know what's coming. Now I only have the House of Hope (need to remember to steal the amulet and gloves before the end) and kill all the bosses.

Also I'm pretty sure load times take like twice as long from the start of the game. The devs really should have split the city, so you at least have some progression in difficulty and aren't bombarded with billion quests.

Is there anything more attractive to the characters in this game as when my person is overworked and overtired?

We get into camp from doing All The Things plus having to listen to Elminster talk which I think aged us all ten years, some vampire spawn come a-creeping and we had to fight them, THEN Mizora is all, "I've had my eye on you, you're hungry for something more" and I'm like, Lady! I have been busy! Besides fighting and talking and lockpicking and talking to animals and what have you I've been entertaining both Shadowheart and Halsin.
I am exhausted over here! Go fuck yourself, because I'm sure as hell not gonna do it.

Story progression via Long Rest seems like a huge oversight, especially on lower difficulties where you're not as likely to Long Rest as often.

I haven't looked into it at all, but don't certain quests auto-"progress" or fail if you long rest too often before finishing them?
Some progress after a rest only if you activated them to begin with. Some progress if you enter a new area, like going to the mountain pass in act 1 will progress certain goblin camp stuff regardless of whether you have visited the camp or not.

Edit: It's usually pretty obvious. Like, someone says "This thing is happening tomorrow" or you see a npc in active danger in that moment.

Got some talent doing their own cover of the music. Some of it sounds pretty awesome!

Only one I know for sure is saving True Soul Nere. I think you're allotted one rest at the Grymforge, but any more and he and the gnomes die. Pretty sure you can't leave the Grymforge either or you fail.

Waukeen's Rest is time sensitive too, if you're close enough to notice it then you damn well better deal with it asap.

Oh, I got there one time and then remember I should bring Wyll along so he could talk to the elf lady. Went to camp, made the swap, came back to find everyone in the building was dead.

One of the things I noticed about 5e is that improving in classes doesn't so much as give you abilities as much as alter the shitty combat system. Like instead of "You can do X" it's "You can do X rather than Y"

If there aren't any mods that let you burn Lady Jannath's house to the ground, there needs to be one. Irritating thing.

Having someone able to cast Remove Curse is the only way I could deal with those stupid skulls.
Also the poltergeists that are just there to be a pain in the ass? They drop no loot whatsoever and are the reason I took full advantage of the servants being gone to loot everything I could get my hands on from that house, purely out of spite.

I played through around half of BG3 and don't really like it. I enjoyed Divinity Original Sin 2 more. I don't think I'll finish it. It's also quite sad to see the Internet's reaction to it. Coomers love Shadowheart but she isn't well written and it's somewhat unrealistic how quickly she trusts you. I think there is a case to be made for her trusting you quickly given her background. Therapists see this a lot, where some people open up quickly because they haven't had anyone to open up to ever in their life. But it still strikes me as odd. The Internet seems to hate Lae'zel even though she's the most realistic character in the game. But ooh no she doesn't immediately suck your dick that means she's terrible. Fuck you coomers.

I feel like the game would have been so much better if it was set in the D&D universe but had no relation (outside of historical references or something) to the first BG games. It doesn't do a good job justifying it's existence.

I think the best way I could put it is that BG3 is a CRPG for people who don't read. I kept hearing people compare it to Disco Elysium but DE is so, so much better in every way.

Also the combat sucks?? I would have much preferred something like Dragon Age's combat system, or the old Infinity Engine combat system. The overlap between scrolls and magic feels weird, and makes it kind of useless to have magic users in the party.

Final thing. LET ME USE THE GODDAMNED ROPES. Don't just leave rope everywhere if you can't use it. There are a bunch of items that do interact with the world and giving the player a ton of things like ropes that you can't use makes it more confusing what you can play with and can't.

At the end of the day it's a fine game. Like an 8/10. It doesn't do anything new or particularly interesting besides having a lot of stuff. I think the only reason people started saying it was amazing was because they thought they were dunking on AAA developers by doing so. There's this imagined narrative that developers at big companies are seething over the existence of BG3, when that's just not true. This whole thing just strikes me as redditors literally soy-facing about BG3. :O

The dev behind Underrail called BG3 gay slop and I can't help but agree with that.

Larian was already a developer of mixed quality (right now I think they're hoping new fans don't look at the original Divinity games) and I can easily see them pulling a Cyberpunk on their next game.

Laezel is literally the easiest lay though. You can fuck her in like, 5 minutes of starting the game. Compared to Shart who only gives you smooches until like act 3 no matter how much you side with her and raise her approval lol. In fact, every companion compared to shart is a quick fuck because you can do it by the time of the party after saving the Grove if not sooner. So I fail to see how Shart is the coomer option compared to Laezel or any of the others.

I always thought Karlach or Minthara was the coomer option, since dickgirl mods and elf ear sex.

I was surprised Karlach didn't have a cock by default cause she looks like a man as is with that Chad ass jawline and the over the top "I WANNA FUCK SOMEONE GRRR" motivation to fixing her engine. But she does have the cringey musclemommy thing going for her, and she is the one I've seen the most coom for in comment sections outside of this thread from what I've seen in other forums.

Minthara is cool, but that voice is a real head scratcher. Sounds like a 60 year old chain smoker. She also feels like a half assed companion but I think that's because I acquired her "the wrong way". I didn't wanna kill her cause she seemed neat, so I just knocked her out instead. She disappeared after beating the Gob camp so i fugured the game just marked her as dead. Only for her to pop back up when entering moonrise towers, naked since I stole her gear to pawn off, and I had the choice to rescue her. So I did, but no one had any issues with that or had any real comments on her joining the camp.

She also awkwardly shares a space with halsin now. So she's either clipping through him, his side table, or kneeling in meditation with his ass in her face :story:

Finished it finally, think the playthrough took 80 hours. Got the best ending where everybody lives and shart becomes a tradwife.

The first act was solid, the second act was great but the third act was where the game fell apart, though not the usual Larian reasons. There is basically no pacing whatsoever, you have ton of shit to do and 20% in you reach max level and then you do things more because you don't want to fuck yourself in the endgame more than it actually making sense. The city should have been split up into different districts gated by levels since shit like saving Minsc was one of the last things I did and in general I don't get the point of more characters when everyone is the same with barely any difference and can respec anytime.

I felt the plot was just there. Pretty much every thread from the first act doesn't change in any significant way until the end. You get some explanations why some things are the way they are, but you start and end with war against the absolute. I still think the setting is kinda fucked from being a part of a big DnD brand so not a lot can change and things like the Gith rebellion won't succeed because, as I understood, the queen is still alive like a century later in lore.

The game was less coomer than I thought it will be, plus no politics besides half of the humans being niggers.

It would be nice to have playable epilogue for some characters with set class, levels and equipment to have fights be more like puzzles. If the devs release a level editor it would make for some amazing fan modes.

Overall I'd say it's am alright game. When it's fun it's really fun but by the end it feels more like busy work.

They're all coomer options
