The dumbest thing is that this is a comic in which the Christian mythos is confirmed to exist and be accurate in the very first fucking strip. God, the Devil, angels, demons, Hell, and I'm pretty sure Christ and heaven were also included at some point in the strip's run. Characters have been shown going to Hell for sinning against the Christian codes. This just goes against the established canon that Tats himself put into his strip.

It also begs the question, why would Veles or any other pagan deity even want Christians? They don't worship you, they'd probably just be freaked the fuck out. I guess you could go with the Christian perspective that pagan deities were actually demonic, but that just seems like it means this guy went to hell with extra steps.

It's why I've always hated when Tats gets political because he's the ultimate college liberal in that he just parrots what he's heard without giving it much deeper thought. It's why plenty of feminists hated the matriarchy shit because of a lot of it ended up just being misogyny dressed up as women's liberation.

Here it's the same thing. He's going full aryan and old gods, but never for a second thought to consider what those ideas actually mean beyond "This is on my side, this isn't" and that was it.

I think he picks his causes by identifying a community he wants to snuggle up to. His feminist comics were weaponized Tumblr, while his current stance is more like classic 4chan.

I actually didn't understand this one at first. I don't know if I'm just retarded or if it's not very clear. For anyone else who doesn't get it, Hobbes is injecting Calvin with estrogen. A couple other notes: Calvin has changed his name again, this time to "Power," which is somehow stupider than Panthera. Also, this is Hobbes' first line in the past ten strips.

I hate this and it's the first strip i have seen of it.
