I actually loved this one initially, and its decline hurts the most out of all of them for me. It's really really good and I had such high hopes. And yeah, when he first he started with the pronouns, it was doomed right there. Right now he's basically packed the story with NEW more diverse characters, browner and gayer than ever, and the main enemy at the moment seems to be.... capitalism!! The main cast has been totally sidelined for this stupid gay vampire nonsense, he added at least one tranny to the story, the cast and scope continues to bloat and get more retarded when all it was at the start was some supernatural small-town mystery. I also stopped reading at some point, and check in every 6 months to gawk at 3 or 4 "pages". He had some injury, I believe his hand, that caused him to no longer be able to manage the meager demands of a one page a week comic somehow. The new format WOULD be easily tolerable, his writing was always very good (if you can tolerate the rather large amount of quirky irony and self-deprecation, at least) in my opinion, but not with it poisoned with all of this woke ass bullshit... As it stands, it's basically unreadable.
Yeah, when it was a quirky small town supernatural coming-of-age story it was really fun. I don't think I'd enjoy the current story book format because the dialog-level scripting was just "aight" and was completely carried by the facial expressions. Johnny talking about his bully standards would have just been exhausting without the visuals (the comic there to contain the wordswordswords bloat)

These types are so obsessed with their labels and trying to be different they become even less interesting. I understand it out there that everyone doesn't wanna be part of the machine and be their own person. But you can still function in the machine and be a different person because it's all about personal perspective. The issue with these types and the comics and stuff they make is that they don't realize they are a part of a machine of their own creation and it's a bad one. They are going against the grain by being in a clique with the same problems.
