One of the first things I did on the KiwiFarms was necroing Willis thread, as I thought some lols could be extracted.

The thread turned repetitive in less than two pages because Willis keeps churning strips that elicit the same comments ("Smug", "Tone deaf", "Obnoxious") and has been doing so for literal decades.

I wish I had the wit to make that shit interesting, but somehow Willis defeated the farms by making it impossible to say anything new about him. He's like a space-time deflector where he's in the same coordinates forever, and ever, and ever.

Especially since he doesn't have a Twitter or a Tumblr anymore to spice it up with his retarded comments.

Oh God, Misfile. I actually used to post on the forums until a decade ago and what was hilarious was there was this dedicated part of the fan base that came up with way better ideas for plots and stories than that guy did. They actually wrote scripts for an animated series version that expanded on the first couple of volumes and fixed a bunch of issues like the dialogue and pacing. Then the dude kickstarted a live action first episode and it was almost a literal adaptation, and it sucked. It's on Amazon Prime if you want to watch it. I don't recommend it.

Willis still has a Twitter though I couldn't find his tumblr, thought that was still around.

Willis is infuriating because you know he is a top-tier lolcow at heart, but has learned moderate OpSec and to keep his most cringe behavior (Other than continuing to put out Dumbing of Age comics) antics private, also his wife is probably tardwrangling him.

Yes, it started as a tumbler comic and later was picked up by Webtoons during there boom back in 2018.

It was one of the three main "romance comedy for the horny tween demographic" webcomics that Webtoons pushed into stardom.

If I wanted a "wackier version" of Ruby and Sapphire, I would just make dumb inside jokes on Discord with a friend, not make a stupid webcomic about it with subpar pixel art.
 
As a Mythology enthusiast, Lore Olympus makes me unapologetically MATI, simply for the fact that it’s somehow the #1 Webcomic on the entire site of Webtoon. Never have I seen an adaption of Greek Mythology absolutely slaughter the source material so horribly.

I can excuse Disney‘s Hercules because it was a lighthearted take that poked fun at celebrity culture; it was never meant to be taken seriously. But Lore Olympus somehow is, despite it being absolutely abysmal in its entire execution.

This right here is the crime that Tumblr needs to be prosecuted for. A whole generation of legitimately talented artists have been taught to squander their talent drawing aesthetically bizarre bullshit that looks just like every other identikit Tumblr artist. I can tell this person has a good grasp of color, lines, and composition, but every single character looks like a gay hipster clown and that isn't appealing to anybody who doesn't have pronouns in bio and an automatically reloading Starbucks card.

Ok, I actually kind of like Nyx’s design, but really only for the color scheme/extra eyes. That being said, I don’t think it fits Nyx as a character at all. It’s a decent design on its own, but not for someone whose supposed to be Night incarnate.

I don’t mind Eris’s design all that much either (I actually dig the vulture look she has going on), but the fact that she’s bald for some reason just messes the whole design up. I remember seeing an edit of LO Eris with long red hair and it looked so much better than the current one. It’s honestly pretty sad how such a simple design choice can either make or break a character.

Everyone else’s design sucks though. (and wtf did they do to Atropos? Aka one of the FATES. Why does she look like she’s Special Needs?)
 
Did the author of Lore Olympus intentionally try to make Hades look similar to his counterpart from Disney’s Hercules? Also I’m sorry but I have a hard time getting behind the romance of a naive 19 year old girl and a corporate guy in his mid-40’s in a comic where every guy suffers the same face syndrome. I feel like the audience for this is young women with daddy issues/kinks who masquerade themselves as non-binary, genderspecial LGBTQ+ uwu softgirl new agers.
