Is a webcomic bad if it's been 9 entire years and the comic itself STILL hasn't reached the midway point of the story?

Ava's Demon was supposed to start updating again "either every thursday or a Thursday when enough panels are completed" about a month ago but unsurprisingly the creator went radio silent again after like 2 updates. I'm convinced she's allergic to working on this fuckin thing because of her neuroticism and the 4 colorists she has helping her out don't get updates out any sooner. The art is awesome but damn is it slower than molasses on a snow day. I'm surprised it hasn't become a cancelled project yet.
A little backstory to the debacle a few years back. Someone who was in her upper tier patreon saw someone make fanart of one of her kid characters aged up and raised a stink about it. The creator reacted EXTREMELY poorly. She flailed around a bit then offered a bounty to out the person who had leaked the image. Someone lied and got the money which they spent on a Goku figurine (if I remember right). I stopped paying attention around there and it ultimately went nowhere and she's back to making money for sitting on her ass.

Do you remember a few years back when there was this fancomic of Zootopia in which Judy gets an abortion and Nick leaves her. It was ridiculously well drawn but the story itself was batshit insane?

This is the third chapter of that.

Seriously, Google “Zootopia abortion comic” and you’ll see.
My favorite thing was when someone edited the abortion comic to a thing about Arby's. It was pretty funny.

It's kind of sad what happened to Sinfest. One arc I was interested in was the one between the demon girl and the glasses guy. Did that ever pan out to anything or were they banished into non-existence?

Webtoons can be something of a mixed bag, quality-wise, but I want to talk about a certain one that's been making the rounds as of late: Boyfriends. A simple, short slice-of-life comic about four gay polyamorous boyfriends in college, each character corresponding to one of the prep/goth/nerd/jock stereotypes.

I came across this comic a long time ago, before it got big, and I remember thinking the artstyle was cute so I checked it out. I dropped it rather quick because it was pretty obviously just the wet fantasy of a tumblr fujo, but it ended up getting popular enough for Webtoon to start running a ton of ads for it. Since I use Brave because I'm not an animal, I haven't gotten this ad, but others have. And it's... uh, well, just check it out for yourself:

A lot of people seem to like the comic, so do with that what you will, but it's extremely shallow and there's no story or message outside of OMG LOOK AT THESE CUTE GAYS BEING CUTE AND GAY, AREN'T THEY SO CUTE AND GAY??? \(>ヮ<)/. Then again, most Webtoon readers aren't looking for much more than that in the first place, so I'm not surprised.

Oh, plus the creator is an FtM, and weirdly enough so is the "goth" character. But that's just a coincidence, right?

Isn't that the same art as those avatar generators that trannies use? Was the comic made in that?

Since Boyfriends was brought up I might as well mention this comic as it's replaced Boyfriends in Webtoons ads. It's gayness of Boyfriends but on sterAIDS. I introduce to you, High class homos.

Episode 1. Providing a screenshot of this would do it no justice. You need to see how it starts.

The art style is cute and inoffensive but it's just more trash tier yaoi shit written by women who have zero clue how men act. No, not all guys are harden macho dudes but neither are they widdle soft bois all the time. Its like...nuance exists in all people. Why can't they make actual characters than just gay puppets to make kiss?

In my opinion many of them are young and inexperienced, or have simply never socialized normally with adult men, and therefore have this fantasy of having a physically male partner who is basically one of their friends on the inside.

Its the inversion of AGP guys making their totes cool hypersexual lesbians. Its more than just "Double the genitals I like", it allows a sexual fantasy for someone with poor self-image. When fujos make their gay softboi omegas getting alphabro'd, they can imagine sex without needing to imagine the changes (weightloss, hygiene) they'd need to make to themselves to make the fantasy believable. They can remain fatty legbeards flicking their beans by just imagining teh gheys.
Again, same for incels and girl/girl action: no need to either come up with some convoluted excuse for why this babe is fucking overweight manchildren or imagining how even if somehow they ended up in a lucky pervert situation they'd be laying on the floor with a heart murmur after two pumps; just have the girls fuck each other and you don't need to take the ego hit by being comparted to a chad normie.

Yaoi just tends to get super disturbing because of the constant rape fetish on display.

Surprisingly this was so bad even for Twitter standards that he got a lot of hate and was banned, thankfully the comments are still there: (not archiving because it doesn't work well with Twitter comments)

Here's the original post, which I got from the social justice warriors thread:

Another bestiality account, now banned, also tweeted this:

Here is his furaffinity account. It lists a Discord and Telegram which I'm not brave enough to look into.

Couldn’t decide if I should’ve posted this in sjw art or not. The author has little to no personality asides whining over being an oppressed gay man.

I don’t think I need to show a strip, the titles and thumbnails say enough about this comic

Ooooh him. I remember reading his webcomic. It was filled with over reacting reactions and blasts of gender colored beams that turned any one that has bad opinion of the LGBT+ to ash. Kinda immature tho what I do remember the most was this one situation that happened last year. He did an arc about his character being denied from donating blood because his card stated he was gay, the lady who denied her was just a nurse who looked like a mess stated it was because gays had a higher chance to have HIV. This arc lead to result the maker didn't expect. That being people being with the lady's side with good reasons as to why. Like how it would be pointless to be angry at the nurse because she's merely a worker and he should have speak to the head of establishing. He wasn't happy and had to argue with the commentors that they are agreeing with a homophobe and stuff. At the end of the arc, He then took the page that started the whole drama and explained why they were wrong and did a comic explaining the readers that the situation hurt him mentally and emotionally and I think he shamed the readers who caused it. I can't remember since it was a year ago

I think I read that as well. This guy’s ego is like Tom Preston if he was gay. Everything he does revolves around being gay like its his sole identity.

To be frank, I’m surprised this comic is not as well known since more than half of it is basically him talking for LGBT and if anyone were to have a different opinion, he throws the biggest hissy fits and screeches about how wrong the person is.

Dam that actually sounds like a fun comic. The resulting drama, not the original comic. Having a character dealing with an unexpected puchback could make a fun storyline.

A gay guy, let's name him Harley, sees his boss and coworkers getting ready for an office blood drive. Harley has never given blood, never really thought about it because blood is icky, but this could make him look good at work so he goes for it. Donation day comes and Harley is ready to brag about giving blood for the first time. He gets trough some of the health screening but is denied for being gay. Harley feels humiliated by this and demands explanation. The nurse isn't comfortable with confrontation and says something about higher HIV rates among homosexual males while making an escuse to escape.

Hurt and angry Harley goes to Tina at HR. Tina is usually extremely accommodating to him because she loves gossip and having a marginalized coworkers. Harley is all ready for her to raise a hell but she instead agrees with the nurse. Her cousin had a cancer and needed blood transfusions during her illness. That's actually what inspired her to ask for a blood drive. She saw how weak and vulnerable her cousin got and so is more for playing it safe.

Frustrated Harley complains to his boyfriend who isn't sympathetic. BF works in customer service and knows how much it sucks to enforce rules and policies he didn't have choice in. He tells Harley that whatever homophobia there might be isn't on the nurse, she is just doing her job. He should figure out who can change the rules, probably the head of the none profit but might also be a medical board or university that does studies on risk factors and cost effectiveness, and demand change from them.

Harley isn't a happy boy and tries rally others to join against discrimination. Unfortunately for him his coworkers don't care because there is a serious accident front of the office, alot people got hurt badly. The medical professionals from the blood donation crew jump into action and help the victims until ambulances arrived. Now that becomes the topic of the day in the office, nobody listens Harley about the horrible behavior from the nurse. Harley is absolutely sure this do homophobia and that the nurse only saved those people to cover up. Feeling like everyone is against him Harley does the only thing he can, give a bad review online making him totally the hero here.

If only the thread that talks about improving webcomic was alive.

That’d be a story I’d be more inclined to read, will it be real. Sadly no due to Webtoon’s easily offended creator community.

It makes me chuckle cause his twitter still screeches about being oppressed despite drawing lesbian porn to please his public,

The original post was on insta got banned because people were upset about his lesbian porn. So he threw a bitchfit cuz how dare.

Take a shot every time he mentions gay.

Actually, don’t, you’ll get sent to the ER.
