Before I begin, let me explain that I don't have anything against anyone who likes this band. I'm more into other kinds of metal, but most Avenged Sevenfold fanboys tend to take things seriously and thus get butthurt in the process. I personally think they're terrible and have no originality. Of course, that's just my opinion.
There are no specific fanboys, but the general grouping of butthurt fans of the band that take opiniated videos seriously. They think they're the "big shit" with their "elitist" statements, such as proclaiming that they have the best vocalist, guitarists, bassist, and/or drummers in metal.
I think any metalhead who's spent a few days getting into the bands would conclude that Avenged Sevenfold, if anything, is far from the best the genre has ever seen. As a matter of fact, I don't find them metal at all. For me, "real" metal bands are Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Megadeth, Helloween, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Slough Feg, Manilla Road, Queensryche, Metallica (first four albums), Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, Candlemass, Saint Vitus, Venom, Mayhem, Destroyer 666, Rigor Mortis, Dark Angel, Sadus, Demolition Hammer, Running Wild, Xentrix, Saxon, Diamond Head, Motorhead, Liege Lord, Omen, etc.
