I find people like this chick really interesting. Like that guy in one of the screencaps said, it's surreal to think that there are people who really live like this every day of their life. It's a special kind of delusional, where you're coherent enough to live a normal life, while simultaneously having a world-view that's so Americentric and warped that you might as well be living in your own little fantasy world detached from reality. A psychologist would have a field day with a person like this.

Does she not realize the US has poor people too, and some of them are white? Some of the people in Florida are stuck there cause they have no place to go or way of getting there if they did. And when you're dealing with a Category 4 or 5 storm, income is really irrelevant once that sucker rolls ashore. The human body does not respond well to having heavy objects fall on it, or pass through it at great speed, regardless of income. Similarly, we all drown the same if we're under water long enough. We might recover faster in the aftermath because we have more resources than Haiti, but we'll die just the same.
 
Shit like "environmental racism" is why the American Left is so useless. Instead of trying to bring together everyone who benefits from less pollution (i.e. people who breathe) they obsess over the privilege of hillbillies and excommunicate people over bullshit thoughtcrimes. Then they wonder why the US doesn't have things like universal healthcare, paid maternity leave, and affordable universities that the rest of the first world takes for granted.
