Dunno so much about janky, 'cause apparently those who got an earlier reviewer copy say it seems to run fine, however, they weren't expectin' Bioshock Infinite-style combat in 2023.

Also, OH NO! HOW DARE THEY SEXUALIZE MUH ROBOTS!!

Dev build leaked. Any word on how complete it is?
without the complaints about being a huge escort mission.
basically bioshock 1 instead of infinite, wait until rus dub is in for more atmosphere.
Is the game essentially Soviet BioShock?
If you guys wanna try a soviet bioshock without the RPG stuff try Singularity.

I'm kind of fucking retarded, and I'm not really understanding how Atomic Heart is directly supporting the Russian government. Apparently they released the game under "VK Play" or some type of Russian alternative to Steam, and that supports Russia? Can someone explain this to me that isn't filled with confusing bullshit? Because all I'm really getting from this is an unfortunate side effect to publishing a game in Russia.

Good taste. Singularity is great. It's Raven Software's last good game before being sent to the Call of Duty gulag.

The studio that made the game was at some point bankrolled by a Russian oligarch as a pet project.

The studio had ties with some Oligarch, which is a absolute nothingburger because this is Russia and anyone who is mega rich there has ties to the Kremlin. It's like saying "this chinese game has ties to Beijing" or "this american game made in California has ties to ESG and DEI".

Considering they moved out of country, and are releasing their games to an international audience, I'd be surprised if they are still bankrolled. I guess still having access to the Russian market equates to being the sole reason for funding the Russian army (smart move if true, cus they got major coomer bait going on).

Oh no! Not the STALKER devs...whatever we're gonna do. Also, question what were said dev doing in Ukraine instead of moving to Hungry with the rest of the devs?

The one actually native and patriotic Ukrainian left on the STALKER 2 team died leaving only a skinsuit of devs who never had a hand on the former games is my guess

Played another hour or 2 of the debug build. It crashed another time or two. I'll try the Xbox game pass copy tonight on an Xbox so see if it's still buggy, that would not shock me at this point if it is.

I don't think it's bioshock infinite-style. More like Bioshock 1.

But I only played until a bit after GRANNY EXPLOSION. So idk if full-on gun combat is bioshock infintie.
Something about the environment felt off to me so I stopped playing, idk what it is.

Also the dev build is very jank.

The dev build is indeed janky, I can agree there. I dunno, I def got a infinite feel from dodging a powerful attack, smackin a bot with an axe an then finishing them off with my shotty.

Technically, the guy who died worked on only Stalker Clear Sky, he had no connections to Shadow of Chernobyl or Call of the Pripyat.

it's more like infinite, you spend more time shooting and using a few extremely useful spells rather than varying around like in bioshock 1.
