Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

People wanting it shut down keep saying stuff like this but never provide any real proof. It's nowhere near as bad as Something Sensitive was that's for damn sure and there it was pretty obviously unironic even.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. I like being able to discuss political issues without being cancelled, but the unironic 1488 faggotry gets old. However, it seems far worse in Happenings ATM. I also hate hearing people bitch about the place, since most of the ones who do so constantly are massive faggots themselves who just seem mad at people disagreeing with them.

I've legit had worse experiences involving Jewish people more-so than black people which explains a lot of my more anti-semitic tendencies. At the end of the day though if you treat me with respect and don't shit on me or try to fuck me you have my respect.

I don't wanna chuck anybody in ovens or anything ridiculous like that, I just want people to stop doing shit that gives their race/culture a bad name. White/Black/Spanish/Asian/Jewish/Arab, stop encouraging each others negative stereotypes and police your own culture to get that shit in check. At the end of the day this is all shit being orchestrated by people with more money and power than any of us.

That's fine, but there's a lot of 14/88 shit that's getting on my nerves and gets really old. Obviously this place is going from something that focuses on lolcows to something more like shit posting, but I don't want to get Mad Max about it.

When I have to deal with sources from super fringe anti-vax blogs or people editing the content of their articles to include things that aren't there but are against their pet punching bag, it pisses me off because then I've got people intentionally trying to rile other people up to get them to join the 'cause'. That's what I mean. This isn't the race war recruitment center. Like if you want to talk about the Bell Curve and crime statstics, that's fine. But don't fucking start turning this place into the fucking Turner Diaries.

Actually, I take that back. Rename A&H to Race War Recruitment Center.

Most of those unironic wignats that people tend to complain about seem to follow one of two patterns.
Either:
  1. Post a bunch of wignat shit in A&N.
  2. Decide to start posting their shit in other subforums.
  3. Get blown the fuck out by the regulars of whatever subforum they were posting in.
  4. Get angry and sperg out at the other users for mocking their viewpoints.
  5. Ragequit the Kiwifarms and go back to /pol/.
Or the alternative:
  1. Post a bunch of wignat shit in A&N.
  2. Never post outside of A&N.
They seem to be a mostly self-resolving issue, they either make themselves into a laughingstock and leave in a fit of rage, make themselves into a laughingstock and proceed to chill the fuck out and stop sperging, or they never leave the containment subforum that is A&N. I personally don't see the issue, unless either the presence of what's essentially a containment subforum pisses people off (Which seems like more of a you issue in that case), or the occasional leakage of autism into other subforums (Which seems no different from when we have random people join KF without lurking who end up also behaving like spastics).

That's presumably because of the current state of affairs, I guarantee that once this whole BLM mass hysteria calms down, the amount of wignat sperging will drop and go back to a more tolerable level. People are currently worked up and quite emotional over this, so that's probably the reason for that.

I'm not going to name any names, but a lot of the types that tend to bitch excessively about A&N tend to be the type that come into random A&N threads, derail any attempt at discussion by raving angrily about the alt-right/white supremacists/incels/orange man (Regardless of if they're relevant to the topic at hand). This then devolves into slinging buzzwords and "no u" arguments at people that make fun of them. Ironically, they end up behaving exactly how the wignat types behave outside of A&N.

The problem is both of these are becoming more common, which is the cause for my post. I know my post has people worried I'm going to cancel them for saying nigger, kike, etc. or something 'racially insensitive', I'm not. Its the above two I'm talking about.

The last thing I want to do is censor speech. But I also am getting annoyed at dumb faggotry. So I've got to draw the line somewhere. And obviously I'm not going to go marching into threads and find people. That would require me to read more of A&H.

Mostly my job is reactionary, responding to what other people report. So instead of going in with a gentle caress that takes effort I'm just going to start punching.
 
It would probably make more sense to be clearer about what you mean by faggotry. AnH is home to a rich ecosystem of varied fags and fag-adjacents.

Excessive griping about Jews?
Plans to exterminate anyone who fails the paper bag test?

Alright, I'll make it clear:

1. Posting shit from extremely fringe sources as OP to be as inflammatory as possible. There's no list of approved sources, but please use your fucking brain.
2. DO. NOT. EDIT. ARTICLES. AND. HEADLINES. I know I mentioned this, but there were one or two posters who do this. I'm not going to name, because I'm already stirring up enough shit as it is. Leave the articles and headlines as they are and let posters draw their own conclusions.
3. Constant thread derailment about ((them)) when it has nothing to do with ((them)). I'm talking about whatever group the article is about, but mainly Jews. Especially if its not funny. If its funny, you'll probably get a pass.
4. Keep that race-war, race-baiting shit here. Do not spread this retardation outside of this retarded forum.
5. If you think the Turner Diaries are real.

That about sums it up. Most people are fine, but the real aggravating ones have been really grinding my gears. The Happening forum is a raging dumpster fire of faggotry and I'm not even attempting to touch that.

I just see it outside of A&H on occasion, the other mods of their respective forums have to deal with it. I'd like to bring back public shaming, but I only feel like everything will go crazy if that happens.
