Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Yes. I've considered delaying it just because. The timing is incident and no longer relevant because I won't have 9chan.org on Epik until June so I can't use it.

I agree. add in he's already a prominent target under constant scrutiny, those kind of excesses become a vulnerability. I would hate to see stormfags/q-tards/falseflagging leveraged for the optics to finally make him too radioactive for cloudflare.

That's a concern I hadn't thought of. If/when there is some controversy from some gayboi who posted on this before a shooting, the media just has to say "8CHAN REBORN, AND IT'S JUST AS RACISTNAZIDEATHKILL AS EVER" and cloudflare cucks again and nukes everything Josh runs.
 
Off-topic, but can we please do something about people getting into fights with the residential commie newfag here?

It seems like in every thread now they either get tagged, or either they, or another user start an autistic slapfight with each other, and the thread devolves into stupid, spergy arguments about communism even if the thread had nothing to do with that in the first place.

In my opinion, the people who @ them in random threads are as bad as them. It’s pretty boring these days. They peaked once they called the Khmer Rouge capitalists, it’s all downhill for them from there because not only is that opinion 100% false, the Khmer Rouge is utterly irrelevant in 2020.

Every thread they post in devolves into rețarded arguments about communism and capitalism / Nazis. It's fucking annoying. Especially when they start fighting with the schizo who also shits up threads.

At the time they claimed they were trolling Weeb Wars because they didn't like how much of a "circlejerk" it was, if memory serves.
