Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

I wasn't aware "all times of the day" was the past hour, and it doesn't take much to read two pages before posting. Especially from someone who likes to bitch about the quality and necessity of other people's posts.

So how would my “hot take” be considered late if the posts were relatively recent you stupid fuck? And even if it was “late” I’m gonna comment on something if I feel like it so long as it isn’t necro’ing a thread or something. If you have a problem with that go find yourself a nice bridge and double backflip corkscrew your ass off it

Since I have to explain it to you, the exchange was already over with and the thread had moved on, until you brought it back up again because you just had to interject your oh-so-witty take on it.

The last post in that exchange was from me at 9:38 CST and was the fifth post down the page, your post was at ~10:55 CST and 16th down the page. A half page and an hour ten after it had fizzled out, at least.

As an aside, it's interesting that simple english is "faggot ass word games" to you. Interesting, but not surprising.

I warned people back in 2014 that I would not tolerate long form arguments about if Chris is a REAL transwomyn or not. I warned people that I would sooner burn out all tranny drama than have our on-topic areas of the site turn into arguments ad nauseum about gender identity.

The same warning is being extended now. This is not a site for race realism or globohomo or kike world order or whatever the fuck. Stop bringing political discussions into my god damn lolcow threads or I will retract my support for this board, which has faced staunch opposition from our veteran users and staff for years. It would have been easier to close than continue enabling and it was a huge contributing factor for the staff walkout in September. Don't make me regret it.
