Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Where are you seeing a "all these right wing posts" on facebook, and twatter? If you look at the comments for any major political event on twatter, they're overwhelmingly left wing unless it was something specific that got started by a right winger somewhere, and then picked up speed. I've never once seen a lefty facebook page get banned even for blatant rule violations, but almost all of the right wing facebook pages have at least one alternate page to account for the eventual Zuking. Twatter is almost not even worthy responding to that's so stupid. Almost anything will get you banned for right wing hate speech on Twatter, but you still have Antifa twitter feeds for almost every city in the US, and #assassinatetrump still hasn't been taken down to this day despite actually being a violation of federal law.

You don't have to engage in violence to effectively censor a discussion.

An implied threat works just as well most of the time.

Edit: another important censorship tactic of the left that doesn't involve violence is "encouraging" employers to fire employees who express wrongthink.

This is a far more complex issue than you let on.

I said neither of those things, but thanks for putting words in my mouth.

I said you should get your facts straight before you accuse people of being part of the “right-wing circle-jerk”. And I said that if your problem is people making dumb jokes or dumb comments then the two posts you quoted prove that the system is self-correcting since it was neg-rated and ignored.

And I basically pointed out that if you’re trying to say that those are bad troll posts (whether intended as such or not), you’re lying, because clearly they made you mad enough to still remember a week later.

And then I said you’re not our mom, so we don’t have to do what you want. So fine, you’re welcome to keep “calling me [or anyone else] out as exceptional” all you want, but it just makes you look butthurt because you have no sense of humor and no chill.

Time after time, we find that many people piss and moan about A&H because they get butthurt that not everybody is impressed with their scorching hot takes.

I used one of your post as an example of being a bad post and you're really this upset that you have to mention me at every post you make in A&H? Honestly, I don't know why you want my attention so badly. You constantly mentioning me isn't funny or clever you just look exceptional. The other guy asked for my take and wanted examples so I gave it to him. You just need to get over the fact that someone had a bad opinion of you on the internet and stop dragging it into other unrelated threads.

The user I was talking about was given a warning prior to that screenshot by a mod.

Now I don't know how long you've been here but whenever a user just ignores the warning and keeps sperging on and on it usually leads to a ban of some kind. What I was doing was telling him to calm down so he wouldn't get banned. I said the exact same thing to Corbin Dallas Multipass and I said the exact same thing JoshephTX. That's just how I am I don't like seeing people banned. This pretty much proves my point you A&Hfags care about ratings too much.

Also if you think I reported this guy or anyone for that matter you're sorely mistaken and you can ask a mod yourself if its true.

It’s even funnier because you know I’m doing it to piss you off, you admit you know it, and you’re still letting it piss you off. Spoiler alert, @Superman93 , I’m going to keep tagging you until it gets boring for me. Which will probably be in about 4 hours, because it’s kind of too easy.

Lol, I'm done arguing with you. You sucked me into this whole conversation over a drunk post I made in mid September, and thus far from what I can tell your entire debate scheme has functioned effectively the same for everyone you've talked to here, which is to get assblasted by something they posted, and then pretend that they're fuming mad by responding to you when you try to use their post as "evidence" to support rule changes, or the board being shut down entirely. You've, also defeated your own narrative of A&H being a "right wing circle jerk" since you're still here despite trying to pick a fight with half the regular posters on this board.

I know it's because of SEO stuff, but it seems very appropriate that our worst autism is being hidden from guests like we are the special kid locked in their bedroom when the neighbours come over.
