Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

@GuiltyTillProven I don't think shitting up this thread instead of going immediately to the Talk to Staff section of the site is doing much to help improve your predicament, dude.

Yes I do, though I'm tempted to hold off until this current Corbin iteration is done losing his shit ITT.
EDIT: also incessant Talk to Staff threads are why Corbin was banned in the first place, it makes sense he'd avoid trying that to discuss a ban.

I said the answer was to talk it out amongst ourselves though, not report things. Not only is reporting gay, but if we just left it up to the reporters then we would be ceding any control over the direction of a&h to them.

I think we are rapidly approaching the point where the news will stop and everything will end.
There will be nothing to talk about because everything has already happened.
 
The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and go. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow. Civilizations rise and fall, the people celebrate in glory and cry out in pain, and Corbin Dallas Multipass returns to A&H to sperg over his sperging rights.

Regardless of who wins I think the board should stay up well in to 2021 since the salt will be amazing. Probably not as good as 2016 even if Orange Man wins a second term, but still pretty good. This of course is assuming the site itself even lasts that long, but not knowing if today or tomorrow will be the last day is, in a strange way, part of this place's charm.

null should monitize the spergs. If you can see a&h but not post in it without being a true and honest fan, he will rake in the $$$. Imagine how much corbin would pay to post and get banned over and over again. :story:
