Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Men aren’t asked every single time to cite examples or have anything they post purposely be taken the wrong way or told their experiences are wrong or that they can’t take a joke. Obviously these things happen to everyone at one point but having it happen every time a woman posts in the section but not on the rest of the forum is exhausting and why there are so few openly female posters to counter the anti-female posts.

To be clear: my problem is not with the anti-women posts (though they are lazy) but the contrast between this section and the balance of pro and anti found on the rest of the board. I’ve already made my point and I don’t want to get sucked into 10 page argument so I’m not going to elaborate further.
 
I was trying to give you helpful advice. Legitimately helpful advice and insight into what's going on. Here let me put it into recipe form ya bimbo:

Step 1: Preheat your post to 350 degrees

Step 2: Make sure to grease your keyboard to prevent sticky keys and typos

Step 3: Combine insightful commentary with a tolerance for shitposting into a delicious batter

Step 4: Stop being such a fucking victim and put all of that into an oven

Every time one of them starts bitching about how women are ruining the world, just start bitching about how men are actually the ones ruining the world, and then when the inevitable slapfight ensues just keep going until they give up.

It is a well-known fact that autists always get tired of arguing about the same thing as has been proven by this very thread, and all the other threads in the Autistic Thunderdome.

I think the issue is that women on here need to stop being polite and nice, and just lean into their bitchiness, and fucking own it.

My only issue is that it's all the same stuff. It gets expected. The first three pages of a thread about women might as well be the same first three pages of the previous thread about women. Just in different post order.

Earlier today the forum briefly had a different and very funny change of layout.
This was awesome but too short :-(

It got me thinking. With Chris-chan in disgrace and the ongoing project to create a new background montage to replace the sonichy-faggotry,
what if we replaced the background image with the taleban flag for a week or two?
I mean, the total incompetence beyond belief of the biden administration with the afghanistan withdrawal has been the #1 lol-show for the last week or so. It just feels right to recognize the talebans for the amount of entertainment and milk we have got.
