Shots rang out in Minneapolis early Saturday after federal police tried to subdue a man who was waving around a gun, according to law enforcement sources and video posted to social media.

A 39-second clip showed about half a dozen cops struggling with someone on the sidewalk in front of a donut shop at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, when the gunfire erupted.

The officers appeared to scatter after the barrage of shots went off, according to the footage.

The shooting happened after the man brandished a firearm with two magazines, a law enforcement source told The Post, sharing a photo of the firearm.

In a statement, city officials urged residents to stay calm and avoid the area.

“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details,” the statement said.

More than 100 protesters had been at the scene when the encounter occurred. The man’s condition was not immediately known.

On Friday, protesters yelled obscenities at two people wearing plain clothes who they believed to be agents after protesters claimed their rental car was linked to the incident, according to video reviewed by The Post.

Neither person was an officer.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) posted about the incident on X late morning Saturday as the details of the shooting were still unfolding.

“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” he wrote.

“The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”

Neither the White House or the Department of Homeland Security have said what precipitated the shooting, and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Despite what the Post says about the protestor's condition, Fox News is reporting he died. Spiciness inbound.

MIGA cheers for another White person killed.
He even had a gun permit and was lawfully carrying.
But principles don't matter with team sports politics.
Truly the kikes never had a better populace under their control.

You sure about that?

Cannot believe out of seven cops one couldn’t apply a simple armbar on the dude to enforce compliance. Chuck Liddel wouldn’t have needed six other MMA bros to take this guy out.

“Noooo! You can’t have Feds killing a Reddit retard resisting arrest with a gun, that’s how the corrupt state officials and thieving bulb heads win!” Is uh, a take I suppose.

If anything, ICE needs to go more hardcore. I agree, instead of killing him, all those men should have actually removed his pants and buck broken him in public. With each time a man finished, they play on a airhorn “THIS IS YOU IF YOU DONT MOVE OUT OF THE STREET! Uggffh!! You are next WALZ! Prepare thy hole!” Then hit him with a bullwhip.

It’s legit the only way these protestors will learn to behave properly.
The protesters secretly WANT THAT 🙃

At first glance this seems like play stupid games (with a gun around police) win stupid prizes. You could show up armed to stuff like this but you better not get involved with anything or wave the gun around. That's the difference between 2nd protestors showing up with guns to a protest and morons out to start a fight or do an "action" etc.

I feel bad when people die, even idiots and idiots i disagree with. But bad shit happens all the time.
Besides.. if we aren't supposed to take note or even notice every time an illegal never supposed to be here, DUIs some American to death or murders one... then why are we hyperventilating over this kind of much less common unfortunate event? It's all just statistics, right? (Of course i know "it's different")

communication was ass.
Communication was ass probably because while they were trying to talk to each other, there were a bunch of retards blowing whistles and horns. So this guy died because of the protestors that wouldn't let ICE do their fucking job. I'd say I hope this fact haunts them forever but I know they're happy another protester died because it helps their Trump is a nazi narrative. Just like they're happy that lady Renee or whatever died too, gives more fuel to the protests.

Can't beleive the evil trump police shot that poor freedom fighter for peacfully wrestling them honestly wtf guys??? why do they have real bullets????

This is the most factual thing I've ever read.

Yeah it's day after day of these mongrels interfering and creating chaos, these incidents are just bound to happen. It's what the left wants. Even if it was a bad call I still don't blame the officers. Considering the circumstances I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they are not Philip Brailsford.

Actually, if I was going to blame anyone besides the left, it's going to have to be Trump right now. I thought Antifa was a designated terrorist organization now? Why haven't these trannys making tik toks telling everyone to come packing to ICE protests been whisked away to Guantanamo? Why isn't the Army/National Guard on the streets right now? Leftist activism has been steering the country for over a half century now, there's never been a better time to finally finish these fucking freaks.

This was in my recommend feed today and it's a good reminder, leftists do not have actual beliefs or stances on things. Obama did the literal exact same thing as Trump and received zero mainstream pushback from the left because it was one of their own doing it. It's not about illegal aliens, it's not about the children. it's not about imaginary "fascism" either it's all DRUMMMMMMMMMMPF. That's all it is. They stand for nothing, have no real views outside of hating whites hating orange man.

Chauvin should not have been fiund guilty. These guys seem guilty. They fucked up. They were sloppy. I don't think they're cold blooded murdereds, but I think they fully fucked up and I believe are guilty.

This doesn't mean I think this fag should have been out there. This doesn't mean I don't support continued operations. I think these guys handled it poorly and now a dork is dead. Even if I think he's a LARPing count fagula, they shouldn't have fired it seems. Maced him, beat the shit out of him, sure. And I get it, they thought the gun was still there. But that's not an excuse when at least one of them very much knew and communication was ass.

What I don't get is in what world is the correct course of action in an 8 man grapple to draw your gun? Even if the gun WAS in the guys hand how does adding a second gun to this pepper spray flavored tangle of limbs help the situation? Maybe if it was taser I guess?

But the guy is already down, he can't even see he's being drawn down on so theres no intimidation factor. The dumbass ice agent just whipped out his gun first and only started thinking after he reflexively put several rounds in the guy from hearing the ND.

I just drove by a protest here in California. About sixty people, all at least 70 year old former hippies, except for a scattering of I'd guess 5-10 fat, Millennial women.

Obama CRUSHED the Occupy protests and they were fine with it. I mean, they had the police come through and arrest everyone they could grab and rough up/kick out everyone they couldn't, then they smashed all their shit and had it bulldozed in a few hours. That's one thing I have to give Obama-- he knew how to deal with the trash when it was inconveniencing the people he actually cared about.

"Lethal cover" would be my bet. If he saw a gun float by in his field of vision that wasn't previously in play that's not an unreasonable escalation, watch enough bodycams and you'll hear cops talking a lot about who has what level of cover during high risk approaches and arrests. If there's 6 pairs of arms and nobody has lethal cover when they find a gun, somebody better provide it.

Now...if he NDed because he was staging the trigger waaay to hard in the process of providing lethal cover that's a different matter, but the part where he pulls out the gun would be entirely reasonable.
