Shots fired after federal police in Minneapolis struggle to subdue man brandishing gun amid protests, video shows​

Shots rang out in Minneapolis early Saturday after federal police tried to subdue a man who was waving around a gun, according to law enforcement sources and video posted to social media.

A 39-second clip showed about half a dozen cops struggling with someone on the sidewalk in front of a donut shop at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, when the gunfire erupted.

The officers appeared to scatter after the barrage of shots went off, according to the footage.



The shooting happened after the man brandished a firearm with two magazines, a law enforcement source told The Post, sharing a photo of the firearm.

In a statement, city officials urged residents to stay calm and avoid the area.


“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details,” the statement said.

More than 100 protesters had been at the scene when the encounter occurred. The man’s condition was not immediately known.





On Friday, protesters yelled obscenities at two people wearing plain clothes who they believed to be agents after protesters claimed their rental car was linked to the incident, according to video reviewed by The Post.

Neither person was an officer.



Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) posted about the incident on X late morning Saturday as the details of the shooting were still unfolding.

“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” he wrote.

“The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”


Neither the White House or the Department of Homeland Security have said what precipitated the shooting, and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The only thing possibly AI here is some sharpening because the quality was shitty. The shot is directly from the video but I guess photos never had processing errors before AI lol

It's funny because it's all very obviously more well off white people too. People who grew up on the streets, and faced actual violence know WTF is going on. They either know WHEN to dip and hide, or where to avoid. It's always these white liberal retards who've never faced any violence in their lives going and getting shot, getting beat up, maced etc.

Look at the left hand of the officer standing pointing the gun at the ai Pretti, notice how it is resting on where that kneeling officers neck is supposed to be? also where is his head?

The trigger discipline throughout the video was fucking terrible IMO. First agent who pulled the gun put the finger on the trigger almost instantly.

Somewhere it was said that the people ICE are recruiting with the bonus get like 30 or 40 hours of training, then are sent out to round up people. It's parroted a lot on reddit. There is NO law enforcement agency in the entire US that will allow someone with zero experience to train for 40 hours, then send them out to do actual law enforcement. Anyone who actually has only received that low amount of training is likely in a non-enforcement support role.

Again, when you sharpen or post-process a photo there is a possibility of errors in that processing like the one you are describing. That does not mean the entire photo is generated. You can see this in many photos taken with modern phones because they have AI-assisted processing baked into the basic camera software. This happened during the Charlie Kirk shooting when video showed errors where the mic he was holding clipped through his hand or his ring switched fingers.

Pretty sure he is still dead though.

Fucking Helldivers get more training than that, there's no way they're sending people with that little training out into the field, especially not into hotspots where things seem to be getting out o hand constantly.
