Any upcoming social unrest is going to be completely one-sided. On one, you have people with guns and the means of producing food and energy. On the other, soy lattes, fedoras, and hormone injections.

I was in the country visiting family last weekend, and even though the area is sparsely populated and comprised of mostly retirees and fat kids, they had enough assault rifles in one store to arm everyone in the town 10 fold.

Plus, they don't want to give their guns up to the government.

Still find it funny how the fanbase will mostly forget shitty playthroughs or incidences that would get any normal content creators burned at the stake, yet it's the little things that make them flip the fuck out and publicly disown the Grumps.

I don't know if I would call it a little thing, though. People have been hoping that the Grumps would go back to their roots (of two friends shooting the breeze while hanging out on a couch, playing video games) and Dan's attempt at discussing past difficulties was a good start in that direction.

And then Arin ruined it because he felt discussing his bowel movements (in descriptive detail, no less) would be a better talking point than his friend's past struggles. Whether he was trying to keep the mood light (by being gross?); or he wasn't paying attention to what Dan was talking about (unintentionally interrupting a more serious story); it's incredibly rude/disrespectful on Arin's part.

It may be a mundane thing by comparison to more problematic crap on that channel; but can see why people would be pissed about that.

In all seriousness, you need to remember what kind of community you're dealing with here: stalkers, doxers, abusers, harassers of suicide victims, foot fetishists, power-tripping moderators, potential pedophiles, alt-righters that even r/The_Donald would cringe at, sexual deviants (PolyGrumps), impersonators (onichris), SJWs, creepers who buy genderbent/non-genderbent body pillows of Dan and Arin, con-goers whom have no idea what public decency or personal space is, and finally people who will treat other Internet people as children and personal property whilst trying to shield them from all criticism and "haters".

All whilst being spurred on and supported by the Grumps themselves. With no regards to their past fans circa Jon Era whatsoever and whilst heralding blatant hypocrisy for all of the other degenerate hiveminders to bask within; very rarely do you see sane Grumps fans anymore, and any that are prominent for a short time (i.e. Brandon Turner or VEGA) will quickly try to distance themselves post-signal boosting the second they realize just how bad things are.

The Lovelies, Cumfaggots, and nearly everyone else in between are the worst of the worst of every spectrum of any Internet spectacle you can think of; if there's degeneracy to be found, it's lurking somewhere within their communities, and it continues to shock me that so many people don't know about the toxic cesspool that is the Game Grumps fanbase. Arin calls the shots, and he never grew out of the New Grounds humor of the 2000's; where guys like Stamper would animate what can easily be called scat porn. Arin has toned it down a bit, in so much as he won't use racial ephitets, because he'd end up offending the progressives who follow him. But the overall toilet hasn't left.

Even that would be the cause of some drama in a normal circle of friends, but since Arin made sure all his friends are on his pay roll they don't bother, not that they would care anyway since nobody seems to actually like the dude, its all just normal "geek friends" socializing aka "marching band iz forever I love my friends" but about acquaintance-level friendship to normal people.
