This is not a slight against Ross (because the guy is talented); but with how long it's taking for him to finish the first season of Gameoverse (largely due to the lack of staff working on the project), and the likelihood that 1) the story/plot will even be relevant 2) a network actually picking it up or 3) that they'd stand to make a decent profit off it to make the last - what? three to five years? - of work worth it is ridiculously slim.

He IS a contrarian. He's gone on record saying he hates Dante because everyone thinks Dante from DMC is cooler than Snake from Metal Gear. What the fuck does it matter? They're both cool. His petty "them vs me" mentality is irritating at best and aggravating at worst.
I'm also reasonably sure someone shit all over him using Ken in his youth when playing Street Fighter and that's why he relentlessly shits on Ken and not other shotoclones.

it is strange because lazy lay about types like him for his [relatable] personality, in a distant universe he hates snake and big boss because "dante is a much cooler cat man"- man who shits himself.

Speaking of, anyone remember that one Ryu vs Ken Rap Battle he did? The one where he clearly makes Ryu the winner and uses it as an opportunity to take potshots at Ken?


What makes this funny in hindsight is that anyone with a passing knowledge of Street Fighter would realize that Ken is completely out of character for the song. I didn't know Arin hated Ken, but knowing that makes this video make a lot of sense.

It's like Brentalfloss but somehow even worse. I can't think of something more damning than that to say. It's completely creatively bankrupt and focuses on jokes and references that were done to death years ago. The only reason people like it is because some of the songs have a nice animation to go along with them and because Danny is there to save us from Arin's horrible rapping.

Tbh, I see Danny’s musical abilities perform better while complementing animation. The newest song I’ve heard from him was that crossover he did with TWRP
I think Dan has a good chance doing music for games like how Crush 40 is known mainly from Sonic
But Arin? I don’t see him going far in the music biz

Sadly Arin is a case of unmotivated talent. Honestly, I used to like the guy for his flash animations and game shit until he decided to get Mr. Nit Picky and act like all of the other smarmy know it all know nothing dickless gamer nerds on the internet with how "Castlevania IV is too easy guise and all of the ar pee geez is like junk food" and how "I like this more, everything else sucks". I know I go off on them a lot, but being around them IRL is more than just the bad smells and awkward looking blubber they pack; a lot of them are insufferable in personality and are ticking time bombs of midlife virgin cuckery whining when you get to know them.

Back to the point, Arin's flash skills could translate so easily to general animation if he wanted to. But then I guess he saw everyone getting high off of Twitch, Screwattack, and That Guy With The Glasses, and decided to whore out on that. Plus, I wouldn't take Arin as someone who would be loyal to the end and attempt to try and change shit. Fucker was on Newgrounds, and I remember way, way, way back in his Awesome series days, he had this shrine to a Final Fantasy fan artist he was friends with that was quite touching. Too bad he's such a contrarian and money whore that he's thrown that all away.

I don't know about Dan and video game soundtracks, most game tracks require fast singers or operatic pieces, Dans slow toto voice wouldn't cut it for most tracks
Personally I think TWRP themselves could make a pretty kick ass retro soundtrack for a game and include Dan in some of the songs
Hell the one song the did "The Hit" already has a actiony vibe like Crush 40

They're over hyped and probably only came into being because Arin wanted to be a singer and - because Dan and Brian owe him for helping them out when they were struggling - the band was made (complete speculation, of course).

As for the music, itself; the first album had a few gems, but wasn't all that impressive. The second album was much better (catchier songs/better energy) and the third album (with the exception of TWRP and Dan's chorus') is just cringe.

Here's hoping the rumors are true and this is the last Starbomb album.

That Starbomb doesn't get laughed out the Internet is still beyond me. It's just two middle aged schlubs cashing in on "gamer culture" by creating the most lowest common denominator garbage music possible. I swear if anybody but them would write "what up bitch i got a one up bitch" the world would implode into a black hole from collective cringing.

The Instrumentals are good tho, Dan knows his craft but has seriously shitty humor and not much creativity which just gets amplified by Arin being Arin.
