this is pretty much how I feel. watching this tihydp of Mario 64 just makes me cringe that anyone would watch this in long form over like 40 videos or whatever

I never understood that either. Youtubers complain about the ad climate right now and how everyone is getting hit with demonetization and yet they still try to take on more than they can handle. I'm honestly not sure how Game Grumps is still even monetizable at this point...

True, seems like they'd be better off going the VGD route and just making short 4 minute videos infrequently while they do their starbomb/merchandising thing.
 
I have no doubt that its the merch and CD’s that make all the money. No matter how painfully mediocore starbomb is, we all know of the types that just lap that stuff up because “gaymes iz so me” and yeah no soubt even the extremely overpriced pind Dell well.

Also Maybe their buisnuiss guy is just someone really good at tax loopholes
 
Binging Best Friends shitstorms seriously have ruined me on Dan era grumps, it seems.

These Canada bros actually pay attention to the games and make poignant comedy around what absurdities are happening. It's so nice...then I come back to shit like Twilight Princess with Dan trying to keep Arin on a short leash and pay attention to what's happening, and Arin along with this corny new editor shitting up the joint. It's depressing.

According to a redditor who attends the streams, Arin said that Twilight Princess will alternate with Phoenix Wright for the daily slot for the foreseable future.

So...I'm guessing, Twilight Princess stays a Youtube series until they've finished Undertale in stream.

Oh, and Arin claims they're listening to fans and acknowledges they haven't been great on the communication side of things.

Gee, I wonder when this episode was recorded then.

That aside I don't buy this being genuine, as Arin always does this: he'll acknowledge something (usually in a slightly snide voice) while addressing fan criticism, say they'll do better or won't do certain things to piss off people within the fanbase, and then usually in that same episode (or immediately afterwards) they'll go right back to doing the thing that people hate. That or the fans will get mad at the fans who complained to the Grumps per the Ghoul Grumps situation, because how DARE they complain that things aren't perfect.

Just look at what happened when they introduced their editor and explained that he was responsible for every edit recently, after Arin and Dan acknowledged in Episode 20/21 of TP that it wasn't Matt and Ryan editing badly on purpose like many assumed, a situation also caused by a lack of communication coincidentally.

Holy shit, now that's an office. It's completely unnecessary and ridiculous that you'd go through all that money and effort for a simple YouTube show where people sit on a couch and play video games, but damn that'd be a cool place to drink with friends.
