I'd like to think Arin deleted the videos out of respect for Ross but you're right, he probably deleted them early (a week before) to avoid the inevitable backlash and Game Grumps will ignore this whole thing.

btw the Holly videos are still intact. I guess she is too "minor" for them to bother removing but would be funny if the fans asked them to.

Oh yeah it was absolutely a PR move. GameGrumps has been a brand for a long time now, complete with full staff and payroll.
Arin can pretend to do things for his friends, and maybe he really does intend to, but he's become so jaded and worn out from doing this so long that it's hard to believe he's doing something for the right reasons when he's given us so many reasons to think otherwise.
Dude just needs to stop this let's play shit honestly, he's dying a death of a thousand cuts.

This is the same guy who will not say the words "JonTron" even though the dude worked there for a long ass time for something way, way less worse than this.

I think originally it was PBG defending his friend. They have been friends for a long time and probably Jared had told PBG a very edited version of what was going on with Heidi and Holly, and of course PBG would be on Jared's side. But then the revelations happen about secret snapchats and messaging minors and even NormalBoots having some knowledge of Jared's behaviour. Now all bets are off.

Funny, considering the Shmorky videos are still up. I guess it's because that controversy never hit mainstream.

It wasn't directly related to GG, but basically some time ago Shmorky (animator of Something Awful fame) got outed as a diaper-shitting pedo via chatlogs and his crazy ex-girlfriend and Lowtax joined the thread to share some more details, ranging from him just being a weirdo to withholding his GF's medication and gaslighting her while doing a cartoon voice, which we got audio of. He dropped off the face of the earth after a suicide bait, but about half a year later, someone here uncovered that he was active again, drawing furry porn commissions while pretending to be a Japanese woman on pixiv. He immediately deleted the whole account in response and I think that was the last sighting, but legend has it he's still drawing out there. Null did a highlight stream not too long ago.
 
This is some unfortunate serendipity. I was just thinking Ross appeared a bit depressed, then I go and see that Holly was doing this shit with Projared of all people. Goddamn.
