And I believe they stopped doing Previously Recorded because they simply didn't find it fun anymore.

Despite RLM even inviting Max Landis over for an interview (Which itself was both interesting, had highlights, and was hard to watch at times), I don't think there's nearly any chemistry that would happen from Arin collaborating with them, besides him fulfilling the fantasy of meeting his idols.

First time posting so feel free to rate me autistic. Probably been said already but One of the biggest things that drives me and other people up a wall about Arin is how his treatment of GG has constantly turned over the years. It went from something he and Jon did on the side while working on real projects, to him, ross and dan working to fund starbomb and NSP, then finally just making everything GG related and nothing of substance left. Him and Ross made a video explaining why they went from animation to GG. ->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkQTBjP1ywk However this excuse is no longer valid because they haven't made anything in years while in GG.

The only thing GG funded project came out was a gay dating sim that even tumblr thought was a joke. I see people comparing arin to chris o' neil a lot and it's pretty much night and day difference to how those two treat let's playing. OneyPlays is the better GG in terms of how the creators treat the system. Chris has posted updates frequently over the years on twitter of his 3D animation and progression with his stuff that's been funded by OneyPlays. Meanwhile Hanson for the last 4 years hasn't done jack squat aside from shill shitty merch and pander to the SocJus crowd.

Tldr: GG is now a husk of it's former self run by a guy and a bunch of interns who don't need to be there pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I like this guy for giving proper shoutouts and links to the other GG-focussed criticism video's and it's a very informative and chill vid.

Only thing I felt was missing but he probably did so because said links give enough coverage or a hint of it already was not going in-depth about the controversies and temper tantrums Arin raises that created such a divisive/toxic fanbase in the first place and what likely plays a big part in why the channel's dying aside from repetitive quantity.

Leaving that out was probably done for the better so this video could give a overall summary of the channel's state.

eh well as best as I can scribe together. he basically says that arin hanson is defending anita and saying she is correct when she criticizes as well going after the weaker parts of her detractors statement. I really shoulda timestamped it because the entire video isn't about arin himself. more about anita but he was a footnote mentioned.

Tigtone is very good and I encourage any interested parties to watch. It is written with many clever turns-of-phrase that made Xavier great to rewatch several times over..

Is it just me or does it feel like it took them forever to get to 5 million subs? They're pretty popular, but I've definitely noticed that they've gone downhill and their view counts are slipping. I tried watching Grumps while playing a game the other day... I don't get it anymore.

They are by far one of the slowest growing channels on YouTube. It's kind of amazing considering how ubiquitous they are with Let's Plays.

Honestly I used to be able to, I enjoyed Jon and I liked Dan when he came onto the scene. But honestly most of their commentary gets stale, they fall back on the same stupid jokes from Arin and the same, "That time that I..." stories from Dan.

They haven't done that in a while, have they? I got a kick out of Wolf Job sometimes. I think the funniest one was when Dan had Barry photoshop the shit out of it and kept adding things onto it.

Honestly, I miss Barry more than anyone else.
 
Felt like it might be fun for the thread if I dug this back up.

There's plenty of this swimming around the 'net. I'd say the most autistic part is that the grumps released all this audio, and it took less than 5 seconds for me to re-find this stupid video.
