Hi, speaking as a fan of Oneyplays, and as much as I hate to be That Guy, are we seriously so desperate to make one Video Game Man on the internet look better than another that we're trying to make "is openly friends with Shadman" a mark in his favor rather than a "Pobody's Nerfect" deal?

Egoraptor's a sanctimonious bitch but cmon.

Cmooooooon.
Not about desperation. If Chris won't drop someone as a friend because of whatever they may have done, Arin would and would drop Chris for continued association.

Whatever you feel about Shadman has little to do with the point. I chose Shadman because he's constantly doing dumb shit and Chris told someone he isn't gonna drop a friend for being an edgelord. Arin would drop a friend if it's bad for business and he'd drop anyone publicly associating with them just to be safe. Except his wife, of course.

I mean, just look at his literal unpersoning of Jon, the man who helped Arin get where he is today, just because Jon said something unbelievably retarded in a drunken stupor during a streamed debate with a spastic dwarf.

-You know that wait and do nothing not only implies but pretty much tells you they are extremely easy to fight, thing about pattern enemies in megaman or even dark souls is that they are hard and have progressive patterns, not the same pattern that you dont even need to follow to win (seeing as erin clearly didnt bother to learn them and breezed through the game)

I'm not a game designer by any means but in alot of games there are enemies who usually do indeed stand still and barely put up a fight, usually featured in the first few area's to ease the player in, then tend to scale up to enemies with clear attack patterns and opening windows after their attacks so you can punish them.

I can't speak about Dark Souls as I have no experience with those games, but Mega Man from what I remember does oftentimes have enemies with a certain attack pattern, and few have slight variations to them that you need to remain cautious about, and a good number of Robot Masters also have a set pattern to their attacks that they repeat until they die.

People have the same complaint about arkham games, this thing is never good in any game it sounds good in theory but in the end its just a menial tasks that instead of challenging is more going through the motions and fucking around till you open the next door to progress in the story, i dont understand how is this an advantage to a 3d landscape when some 2d games do this as well especially those from a top down perspective its bad in any game, not just OOT.

While some mandatory hidden switch puzzles in the Batman Arkham series were tough, for the most part there exists Detective Mode as a more blatant workaround for people who want the solution highlighted to them and for those who seek a real noggin test with optional puzzles have the Riddler content to work with.

In the top-down Zelda games they could also hide switches in some clever ways like under a pot or moving a certain tile block, but hiding objects in a 3D landscape being an advantage is ultimately subjective to the player, but for developers such possibilities are less limited than in a 2D/overhead view game.

Even nintendo didnt like Z-targeting and the Camera in OOT they completely reworked it for the 3ds edition lol, you are not debating erin at this point to me you are debating nintendo who admits that a system worked like fucking dick, which is why u suggest completely turning it off enemy lock systems worked much better sense.

Um, last time I played the 3DS remake of OoT the camera/Z-targeting system remained the same, save for the addition of motion-aiming using the gyroscope feature in the handheld. And I didn't suggest turning it off because 'it sucks', but in case you wish to swap to another enemy in the same room or disengage altogether so you don't strave around a enemy anymore. I focussed my point entirely on Arin seemingly having tunnel vision that he can't keep his surroundings in mind when Z-targeting.

On another topic:

I mean, just look at his literal unpersoning of Jon, the man who helped Arin get where he is today, just because Jon said something unbelievably exceptional in a drunken stupor during a streamed debate with a spastic dwarf.

I find it quite ironic that Arin would not associate himself with even close figures in his life when they get involved in a bout of controversy or some unknown to the public (but definitely related to him) for the sake of keeping his GG brand going, yet doesn't seem to think how his own controversies (Leadfoot's harassment, the grudge over a fan because of Damnit Ross meme), or his dismissive attitude towards his fans could reflect his business potential negatively or slowly drive away his colleagues.

That's because - for whatever reason - Arin seems to practice the belief that he is the exception to the rule. When he does something questionable, it's justifiable and he has no reason to explain himself/apologize for his actions (unless he's forced into doing so - like during the Ghoul Grumps fiasco). When someone else does something similar to what he had done, they're in the wrong and should be forever vilified.

In Arin's mind - he's never in the wrong. And when he's proven to be wrong , he doubles down until people agree with him or drop the subject entirely.

But...its all an act, right?

I remember when Arin dropped the singing tour July 2017, he left midway with no warning outside of one facebook post saying he was stressed. Guaranteed, it wasn't a starbomb tour but i'm sure his fans paid to see HIM sing too. I am sure Arin only created the band as a cash grab to sell merch and didnt expect to actually sing on live concerts (because that's actual hard work).

Interestingly, the stress never stopped Arin from hijacking himself into Jacksepticeye's tours...

Hosting other people's animations on his channel again.https://youtube.com/watch?v=T5zL3FMyoq8This is way too well animated for a song based around SJW nonsense.
I mean, it's not a strictly bad looking animation, but it feels really stiff and restricted compared to the previous clips that have taken full advantage of the wacky imagery offered by the (admittedly cringy in hindsight) lyrics.

That gets me the most is Samus' hideous manface. It gives me some serious flashbacks to Sonya Blade from MK2011:

Green pewdiepie is never going to introduce Arin to Vanilla pewdiepie

Something else that unnerves me about this new Regretroid Samus - she doesn't blink - even once. And the lack of pupils (or, the blue tinged pupils) give her eyes a cloudy look that you'd commonly see on a corpse.

Oh shit, you're right! She's like the feminazi version of Deathlok!

i don't know why people make Samus a feminazi bitch anyway

Because you can't be a strong, female badass if you show any other emotion outside of ornery b*tch

...come to think of it, with the above in mind, Regretroid pisses all over Samus as a character. they wanted to go for 'female empowerment' by having her disgusted at being sexually objectified; but made it all the worse by making her into a rage filled murder beast - which doesn't reflect well on women, either.

Edit: Hell, looking up her personality - what little you see of it in the games - she's described as being melancholy/quiet and compassionate. Hardly the femi-nazi b*tch Starbomb depicts her as.

Samus is a great example of how to write a cool female character. There's no "girl power" crap thrown in your face, no snide remarks about being better than men, and the fact that she is female does not end up consuming her character. She goes about her business being awesome and her actions do the talking.

It's just too bad that some people can not grasp these concepts and resort to taking "strong" way too far in a literal sense.

And they can't even get that right; as when it come to the term 'strong', how many people immediately think of a foul mouth, quick tempered sourpuss who'll kick your ass at even the most remote of slights directed at them?

You know, when youre makin spoilers with "why samus is actually strong," on kiwifarms; maybe its time to take a hard look at yourself?

Yeah, the mistake Arin and a lot of other people make is thinking you can’t be a strong female if you act kind or caring, so they have them act the exact opposite; being a cold-hearted bitch whenever possible. They have to either fail and be weak so a man can save them, or perfect at everything because girlz r0ck! The problem is, in doing that you’re still defining the character entirely around the fact that they’re a woman, just in the opposite direction.

One of the main reasons I like Samus (probably more than any other Nintendo protag) is that she’s badass and the fact that she has a pussy doesn’t define her at all. (well outside of Other M but let’s not talk about that.) Nobody ever disparages her or makes fun of her for her gender and she’s a badass warrior, but she can also show a really gentle side, like with the baby Metroid. She’s allowed to fail and struggle just like Link or Mario but can still pull through in the end. It just doesn’t ever feel like she’s written any differently because of her gender, which is something a lot of franchises can’t handle with female protagonists. I think a lot of it is the heavy inspiration taken from the Alien franchise and Ripley.

What. Arin hates Ocarina of Time because he thinks it's overrated. He always did. He even admits he made zelda sequilitis out of spite.

Also, when Arin was recording stream footage for sequelitis he was bashing the game nonstop and was so shit that he couldn't finish and asked Chris to do it. I can't find the stream now tho because Arin purged it.

Another funny thing i found while i searched this was Arin's subreddit comment about the leadfoot doxing incident.

It's completely insincere btw. He didnt care until Danny called, didnt callout his fanbase and pretended it was all jokes! Arin called the guy an useless failure over and over and Dan name dropped him multiple times while laughing and saying "Boy if he gets a wave of hate from our fans, wont he be surprised 11 years later?", effectively baiting their fanbase to dox him.

Arin seems to do a lot of things out of spite, doesn't he?

The Sequelitis was done out of spite.

Making Game Grumps into a business was done out of spite (he admitted this during a Skyward Sword episode before they moved that game to Livestreaming).

Makes one wonder just how many other things he's done purely out of spite.

That post was cringy AF - and just more evidence that Arin is the living/breathing example of a walking contradiction (first acting like the Grumps aren't influencing their fans to do stupid sh*t; and in the next breath, he's influencing the fans into stopping their harassment of the FAQ guy by saying how awful it makes 'him' (Arin) feel and how cool he thinks it (and, by extension, the fans) would be if they stopped).

Also - he couldn't get in touch with the FAQ guy? Pretty sure Dan was able to (via reddit, I think); what stopped him from asking Dan for the guy's info so he could apologize to the guy, himself?

Edit: It also really bothers me that when crap like this goes does, it's Dan who's largely doing the apologizing; either in Arin's name (when Arin screwed up) or when they both screwed up.
