His name is Arin, pasty nigga was born to a life of nonstop faggotry right from the get go.

That part from 1:42 onward, shitting on fans, his way of speaking, controller throwing, and the verbal tirade , just cemented Arin as being DSP's long lost twin brother in my eyes.

DSP still attempts to be a grown up at times and never took a photo of him eating a vidya playing downie puss tho or shit himself. But who knows what the future holds?

DSP still attempts to be a grown up at times and never took a photo of him eating a vidya playing downie puss tho or shit himself. But who knows what the future holds?

DSP jacked off on his gamer couch without even realizing the camera was on and his business is nose-diving. He is literally a brainless mass of phytoplankton organisms fulfilling their natural instinct to suck at video games. Arin by contrast runs an incredibly successful company and did not have to kidnap a female. Comparing him to Phil is A-logging.

I am so shocked no one has brought up Suzy's "Draw My Life," video she did not only showing she has never grown up from her 13 year old mindset on her own thread, but also showcasing her and Arin's relationship of how really desperate he was for Suzie to take him back.

It really does show that the theory of Arin was scared of being alone is proven true here because they were 13 when they were together and he wrote Suzie every single day when they broke up desperately trying to get her attention back after the breakup.

And Suzie only came back not because of the heartfelt letters he wrote, but only because she got bored of her new boy toy just went back to him basically showing Arin was her rebound/shoulder to cry on and not someone who she genuinely loved.

I feel bad for him on that front but I can see why his mindset a bit twisted sense Arin never had that realization people have at that age to grow as a person of what is and isn't a healthy relationship and move on like most people do.
He had such little self-esteem and need to be loved he couldn't let her go and his parents didn't put their foot down to tell him to stop either.

He was 13 when he started this relationship and never had no one else to show him anything else along with his very shitty self-esteem he stayed with a girl equally as immature and never really had a push to change any further.

He ended up being a manchild because being a child is all he really knows, and it didn't help it was rewarded with fame and even love he sought in his life basically ensuring the path he would end up on.

Sorry for the double post, but Arin's Old Livejournal is a goldmine. (archive)

Here's a quiz/questionnaire he filled out when he was 17. The most interesting part is probably the friends section, and that he took the quiz from Suzy.

He also made a big spergy post about disliking his brothers relationship. (archive)
His brother then explains in a comment below that Arin has a distorted view of relationships (lol) and they continue to argue. Eventually Arin "blows up" at his brothers' girlfriend. Here's the entire saga.

Here's Arin and his brother, who manages to look noticeably more mentally stable somehow

One other thing that I found is that he's mentioned other girls in his entries. In this particular entry he talks about a girl named Krystal. The comments below make it clear that it was a completely online relationship though. (Arin responds to the comments terribly, not really a surprise there)

These posts are from 2001, so Krystal could have been an online pseudonym used by Suzy or a completely different girl. A post he made in mid-2005 states that he's never had a "girlfriend", so I guess he and Suzy weren't dating at that point?

There's probably a lot more to dig through, and I don't follow Grumps stuff super closely so I might not be the best person to piece together the fucking Egoraptor timeline. I'll try digging a bit more tomorrow? Hope this was a good find.

I've heard things here and there along the grapevine about how Arin is off camera. I can't really back it up and my sources aren't really solid to say the least... so just take this as a grain of salt.
Arin, no shocker, is insanely aggressive off camera... or at least he was in the Jon era.
Crashing stuff around the room sorta aggressive. Having to stop an episode for a solid 30-minutes so he can cool down sorta aggressive.
I know some more stuff here and there about what stuff was like off-camera at this time, that and some stuff about his wife, but I'm not entirely sure how true the rest is.
The crashing stuff around thing, though, is something I am most sure was true... I mean... look at the guy's content. He's mellowed out over the years, sure, but that aggression is still in there.
It makes me wonder how miserable it is to be in that office with Arin and Suzy, considering they're a lot alike.

Okay, since the topic of Arin shitting himself during a video keeps coming up, maybe it should be mentioned that Dan claimed he did the same at the end of the P.T. playthrough, although it was probably just a callback to Arin's claim at the start that this game would make anyone "shit in their pants". That video is over thirty minutes of Arin happily tormenting Danny, who does get legit freaked out at graphic horror.

And those comparisons of Suzy to Yoko Ono? They'd be more fitting if Arin had first married someone else, then walked away from the marriage to be with Suzy. He does seem to genuinely worship her, though, but I don't poke into their personal lives enough to wonder if their relationship is that unhealthy or not. I'll leave that up to you guys.

As someone who use to be a big GG fan, they're relationship never seemed off to me. I think they are genuinely happy with each other despite their personalities; a functional dysfunctional relationship.

God, I wish Arin had left Grumps instead of Jon. Everyone, even Suzy to an extent, is funny and personable, but all he has is incompetence and offensive humor for the sake of offensive humor. There was a Disney Princess game they did that I remember being excited to click on, expecting them to either mock how shallow the game was or really get into character...only for Arin to start making pedo "jokes", which were more like pedo statements said in a funny voice. With Dan following suit. For the whole video. The Wind Waker lets play was another one I had to quit since he legitimately was at DSP levels of incompetance and they had uploaded several videos of him making zero progress, and he got angry at people complaining. Dan ended up printing a walkthrough out and using that to guide him but IIRC he himself kept getting distracted in conversation and didnt really use the guide. I think that's the point I bowed out almost entirely.

And has the weird ads fandom been brought up? Because the comment section of any video, last I checked, is uncomfortably sexual. Maybe I'm a prude, but its creepy to read how so many probably very young fans want to have sex with them, or fantasize about how they have sex with each other.

A Florida Man’s temper with a Californian’s need for self victimization, what a combo.

Speaking of sonic sperging, has anyone posted this yet? It's the worst Arin freakout I ever saw while watching them.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=7Bu8lyOZh2ATL;DR Arin can't beat a sonic boss, so he starts screaming, punches a cabinet and breaks a light.
When his friends come to check on him because they're worried, he screams at Barry (who was the most soft spoken, non confrontational person ever on the show) to fuck off. They try to shake it off as a joke in the editing but Barry seems uncomfortable.

Before this video came out I bought into the idea that Arin's anger was just part of the character, but this changed my mind.

Jesus Christ, somebody give this man a Xanax.

I've seen multiple people bring this up, and honestly this is less a Grumps thing and more of a fandom thing in general these days. More kids than ever are on the internet, and they're all just as insatiable and horny as we were but *in droves*. The Grumps don't brand themselves as a children's show, so I don't think they're entirely to blame for this. It's just a sad inevitability kids roam around on the internet without supervision. And while they do joke about having sex with each other, I think it's just because trying to pushback on it would only make it way worse. It's a no win situation.

Can't say I have much more to back it up, though I do remember in some of the earlier Jon videos one of them mentioning how they'd sometimes take long breaks after a session. I think there was even the odd mention of recordings they never uploaded because of it feeling tense. It was specifically one of Jon's favorite series (Banjo Kazooie?) were the recording apparently ended up just being overly negative so they ditched it.

That being said, I do think some of the anger is played up. I think Arin actually gets pissed, but then tries to play it off like he's just doing an angry over the top joke and that's when he starts throwing a temper tantrum. When he's actually mad, I think his default reaction is to sulk and sound visibly frustrated. That's how I remember it in the Jon era at least whenever Jon called him out.
