They stopped making videos together yes. Don't really know why. You can say it's because Oney moved out or whatever and it is hard for them to join and record stuff.
One detailed I noticed, while the skinny dude made a lot of videos with the oneyplays cast, the other chubby guy, barely showed up. Wonder if there was some friction between him and oney.

I assume it's because supermega took over editing game grumps full time and are still editing their own videos leaving them with less free time.

EDIT: oh and yeah Oney moved out of Arin's house and LA is apparently a bitch to move around to meet up with people if you aren't close to them.

I was watching a chunk of that Skyward Sword compilation and something legitimately funny happens at Arin's expense. Around 2 hours and 33 minutes they're having this weird talk over whether or not Dan's a furry, which is based around some creepy fandom meme ala TransArin only with very minimal evidence other than Dan making a lot of sex jokes, Dan says he likes that animal stories pick what species a character is because it tells them a lot about their personality. Arin legit calls Dan a furry racist or something then Dan goes matter of factly "so are you saying wolves don't act like WOLVES?!" and Arin starts babbling like a fool. I found it pretty funny.

Wasn't Arin (maybe Jon, too) hellbent on referring to Game Grumps as a web show rather than an LP series back when the two of them started it up? Even though what they were doing didn't (and still doesn't) stray too far from the YouTube definition of a Let's Play; I mean, they play through a game and commentate whilst playing through said game, split that playthrough into several parts and edit out mostly only all the filler shit that doesn't matter, suck horribly at the game...

Arin is still hurting over people grilling him on that tweet he made, so he constantly refers to Grumps as an "improv" show and claims him and Danny are taking comedy classes to improve their improvisational skills. They haven't gotten any funnier, in fact they've gotten worse over the years despite those supposed classes.

Because Arin is better than those people, though - It's just an Ego thing. It was probably fun to dunk on let's plays until a bunch of them started making real money and being a newgrounds flash animator probably looked less attractive by comparison.

It's a lot easier to play a video game for 10 minutes and make a 10 minute video than to work on a five minute animation for a few hours and it's a much higher return on investment.

It's also why Arin keeps trying to branch out (tour manager, band member, scripted actor, improv comic with Game Grumps live, etc) even though it's likely that Danny/Brian carry Starbomb musically.

I've always wondered if that "dropped out of high school" thing wasn't just him trying to take control of the situation. Considering his constant falling out with friends and his explosive anger, plus the whole being from Florida thing, I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually expelled.

I always thought it was weird. In other vids he mentioned that he was "gifted" and felt dropping out was best because they (school) had nothing left to teach him.

No, Ding Dong and Julian wanted a hiatus to work on their game and Oney's autistic fanbase chimped the fuck out so they straight up decided to quit instead of rewarding that bullshit behavior.

Although Julian has gone on record to say he hates the game industry, its culture and the let's play community at large. So when he and Ding Dong criticized Dream Daddy as a cynical and poorly assembled cash grab, Suzy probably did chew them out. As for the culture and community, I can't fucking blame him.

What I don't understand is why the decline even happened at all. When Jon was around, sure, Arin still wasn't the most competent gamer in the universe but that first year of Game Grumps very rarely had moments of obvious ignorance that even compare to what goes down in modern episodes. I'd say the worst of it was in Naughty Bear where they blatantly ignored objective prompts in the first episode, but even then look what happened directly in the following episode: Arin discovers the objective prompt and creates progression for the game.

It almost feels like he's intentionally playing games bad on purpose for the "comedy" and to get a rise out of his audience.

Anybody remember the drama with Jontron? When he left game grumps without any explanation, Arin said it was because he wanted to distance himself from game grumps. However, Jontron responded, implying that he didn't want to leave in the first place! That's all I really know, but I just thought I should bring it up. I'll look into it more if this peaks people's interests.
