So I had to look and someone took a blown up screengrab and that's 100000% makeup. And his wife is someone who has done cosplay makeup and makeup tutorials in general.

This faggot had or allowed himself to have shitty makeup on to look sickly to generate attention by abusing people's care for his wellbeing. That's just low.

Here's a four character pin set for $19, and though I don't have any pins I can personally attest to the quality of fangamers shit; their shirts are comfy as fuck and their posters are excellent quality. They also send out little art prints from random games with quotes on the back that have your name put in (like when I ordered an Undertale combo I received an Undertale print with "Don't give up hope, [name]!" on the back, and I also received I think a Fire Emblem print from another order.)

Despite the pins selling out almost immediately, I did see some comments on various sites about the pins being overpriced and ugly. Arin literally put in zero effort and this is a stupid cash grab, and it's only set one of three. I know blind boxes/bags are all the rage right now, but they're annoying and it really screws over the consumer.

Maybe I'm just optimistic, but a lot of it feels disingenuous to me. I feel like a lot of content creators just go along with whatever, or like, they try to convince themselves they believe it, but they don't, really. Like, if Arin actually meant for those pins to be androgynous, he wouldn't have called them FISHGUY and SHROOM BOY and mentioned making a fish gal recolor, or redesigned him and Dan as big titty anime babes.

I'd like to point out a lot of otherwise normal, rational people sided with Wu and Sarkeesian. They're great scam artists, preying on the sympathies of well-meaning people. The people who saw through their shit were either natural skeptical or just naturally predisposed to hating women. Arin just got sucked into the whole gay deal because he plays video games on the internet. He had to choose a side, and he chose the side which doesn't get you branded as a ruthlessly sexist incel neckbeard. Smart move from a business standpoint. Is Arin probably sincere in some of his feelgood librul identity shit? Yeah. Is he a full-blown SJW? No.

These are all fair points. Best to take what he says as speculation, but I agree it's most likely pandering for the sake of SJW brownie points.

That was my takeaway from that, yeah. I decided to do a check and it's pretty clear he only mouthpieced to keep the heat off. He didn't get involved with the Autism holy war at all beyond token support for Sark and company, which puts him above like a third of Channel Awesome.

There are so many cool pins out there in the enamel pin scene (yes, there is a scene. I went to a Patches and Pins expo and I loved it), and Arin's look so... meh. And it sucks because I know he can do better and probably make more interesting designs.

$25 dollars for three pins is over $8 a pin, when a lot of pins of that same price are larger and far more intricate.

Thanks for directing me to some new Etsy shops, though.

I am curious if Arin has any preference for men or not. Clearly there is plenty of evidence pointing towards yes, but I can also believe that he just likes to play it up for the comedic value. Arin is not about witty or subtle humor after all. If he does I'm surprised he hasn't announced it yet. Seems like the kind of thing he would use to stroke his ego and play up for leftist points.

Then again we weren't entirely sure about Chris for a long time, and look how that turned out.
